Just got finished watching the Central @ PRP game on iHigh http://www.ihigh.com/rivalsportstv/broad...verlight=1
Here is my take away from it. Central's D is as good as ever, kept them in the game as they always do. They get great pressure on special teams and they are in the backfield fast on almost every possession. Francis #20 and Jones #12 seem to be all over the field. Though I notice Jones has no stats from the last two games. Is he healthy?
The offense seemed by very sloppy. Lots of false starts and poor line execution. Center seemed to have trouble getting the ball to QB on a consistent basis. The field was terrible so that could be the issue there.

I think this is the best opportunity for the Pirates to bring the title back to Pond Creek. Central is a very very solid team, but in saying that I don't think they are quite as complete as they have been the past couple of years. I think the Pirates are a little better and more complete than they have been the last couple of years. So Yes I think the Pirates dethrone the King this year. Maybe even go back to back next year but I will reserve predictions for next year until later. Good luck Pirates!!!!

Expect an absolute war at the LOS.
Belfry's starting OLine and TE averages 6'1 270 with 5/6 being Seniors
Central's Front 7 DL and LB's average 5'11 188 with 4/7 being Seniors.
The Pirates have a distinct size advantage up front, but every Belfry fan will attest size means nothing when your opponent is too quick to block. I would expect Central to have a similar size advantage on the opposite side of the ball.

Central waits for you to make a mistake. They may be ahead by a little or may be behind by a little when it happens. But the track record this year is they find a way to win the games they need to win. They are not necessarily pretty wins. They have shown the ability to win without key personnel. They have shown they can come from behind late in the game. They have shown they can hold a narrow lead. It is not the dominating offensive performance of past years. But wins they still are.

well Belfry is THAT good.....the Way we are playing right now we are the Best in 3A...In my opinion nobody in the west is three touchdowns better than Breathitt or Bourbon
Breathitt? The only team I can compare is Clay County, Clay county scored 29 on Breathitt, they did well to get 100 yards on Bell. Are you kidding? No one in the west is multiple scores better than Breathitt or Bourbon? You are drinking the cool aid and drinking a lot of it fella.

Coachdad, You have said several times that Central dresses over 100 kids. I have watched them twice and there is no where near 100 kids on team. Granted both games were away. Do the underclassman not travel with team?

Thanks! Not thin-skinned at all...Just realize that this is a high school football thread and for each of these teams to be where they are...They have to be the "BEST of the BEST!" Right? Give them all the recognition that they deserve..
Heck, I even gave Central's Band recognition...lol...I may go over there and visit...learn some new movesnicker:

I watch the central prp game on ihigh an it look like #54 is fast off the line an as expected central has a fast team but it look like they dont like getin smacked it the mouth an thats what belfry's d's likes to do so this should be a good one..With all that been said BELFRY by 7!!!!!28-21!!!!!GO PIRATES

I think the pirates are the best team in3a this year our defense has gotten better each game I know central has been missing their quarterback I hope he is ready come Friday.
