Both Fairview and Raceland benefit from kids from other places. Reason some Raceland fans get upset is because those kids are better players going to Fairview. Let's be real here without the players from other places for Fairview they wouldn't be as good, and without the players from other places Raceland wouldn't be as good. For example you take Kurtlen Brown out of Fairview lineup they aren't as good and if you take Connor Messer/Mac Boggs out of the lineup they aren't as good. Both sides are pretty immature about it all to be honest because in all reality they both play the same game and both have a good program. Don't see why so much hatred I understand being competitive but at the end of the day it's a high school football game and the sun will rise the next day and both teams will play next week. Good luck to both schools hope they stay injury free.

Now back to Trent Driftwood. Boy I'll put something on you Mr. clean wont be able to get off. I'll be easy to find too. I'll be wearing Orange and Black and looking for trouble!

Can we PLEASE get back to talking about the game?
feel if Raceland keeps the Eagles under 24 pts they will win. With the injuries, it has come down to their offense vs Racelands defense. If Raceland keeps them in check, the Rams will win.

With 70 kids on the roster, I know Fairview had around 22 freshman come ot this year, but, I was wondering if the injuries on the defensive line would affect the offensive line of Fairview? Many times, even the bigger 1A schools dont have the luxury of havig their entire dline and oline not have to go both ways. The Oline will not be affected , all the Oline will be playing to my knowledge . Our Oline , Dline are 2 different sets of starters . Every now , & then Metzler , Roark , or Young may come in for few Dline plays . IMO i figure they might be playing more Ironman in this game but thats just a guess.
Also, does any body have an injury update of Boggs or Joseph from Raceland?

I think Fairview will miss Isaiah King more on the defensive side of the ball, than the offensive side. This isn't to say that King isn't a good RB, I just believe their depth at that position can more than cover his loss.

This thread has always gotten out of hand at some point. More often thsn not Westwood is involved, as is Ram-a-devil. Alot of it can be realy entertaining because 90% of the time they are saying the same things over and over again. Clint will be waiting, ready for a royal ruble at half time and Ram-a-devil will say somethig about recruiting. The cycke is no different this year lol.
I thought Fairview had seperate lines. Raceland isnt that deep yet, but with players like Logan Mauk, Isaac Wallace, Jerome Hall, Morgan, and several others they will in the next few years, they could pissibly in years to come. Thats what becomes a factor in this game. How well can Raceland's dline hold uo when it is essentially the same bunch if guys on the oline.

fairview Runs a 3-3-5 defense so they only use 3 down lineman. Raceland will be able to sub some lineman this week because for the most part everybody is healthy. Like I've said a million times.....This all comes down to the testicular fortitude of the Raceland Players. This team IMO has underachieved so far this year. Friday night is a chance to change all of that. i don't want to hear about game plan or play calling. game plan is always good and the play calling has been good. The underachieving average play is what has done us in. If the Raceland Kids play a 4 quarter game They will destroy this fairview team hands down. There ya go...i talked some football now back to the crap talking!

I 100% agree with this assessment . I have said from day one before he was hurt that he was more of an assesst on D then on O

Who will be assigned to cover #1 for Raceland? Yetts??
10-17-2013, 01:45 PM
@ Scotty Bronson, you can bite me. I only defend Fairview when little tyke motor mouth comes on here. But hey if you want some of the action just let me know.
About the game, it will boil down to whether Fairview controls the ball, Raceland's defense is pretty good and with us being bit by the injury bug the Ams may have a chance. Raceland must bring it all four quarters which has been their Achilles this season. We are going to run, run run the ball. So it comes down to whether Raceland stops our spurts and progressions.
I still think the boys from Westwood prevails.

My guess would be #4 Fred Hightower. He has played very good pass D , & he is lightning fast . Not exaggerating when i say this , but he could quite possibly be the fastest player to play at Fairview . This kid has unreal speed .
10-17-2013, 04:20 PM
The key for beating Fairview is not to allow them gain momentum because they will not let the foot off the pedal once they get things going. Raceland's ability to control the bal will determine the outcome if this game. If Raceland can maintain long drives and keep Fairview's offense off the field then the Rams will win but if Raceland tries to get in a shoot out then the edge goes to the Eagles.

I would say Hightower is just as fast as Baker from Ashland, the kid has some unreal speed. Do you know what his 40 time is?

I dont know for sure , but a guy from ihigh told me he was clocked at 4.35 40 . I know he is fast , but not sure that is accurate
10-17-2013, 06:07 PM
A sub 4.4 is crazy fast. Especially in hs. Heck thats fast anywhere. Looking foward to the tallent vs tallent and size vs size tomorrow night. Should be a great game, great atmosphere, hope both teams stay injury free.

24hrs we will know more about the east. Raceland has a tough last couple of weeks before the playoffs. Fairview this week, Paintsville the next, and finishing the regular season off at home against a down but descently sized and always physical Ironton, OH team. Both Fairview, Raceland, and even Paintsville have played good competition for the most of the regular season. They will all three benefit from it in the post season.

Its game day and the eagles can $uck it!!
10-18-2013, 07:50 AM
This should be an easy win for Raceland, but if Fairview comes out and punches them in the mouth, how will this Rams team respond? Can Raceland play 4 qtrs? I think there is a much better chance now that they can.....due to the colder weather the big linemen won't be bent over in the 3-4 th qtrs. Fairviews only chance is to contain Beach/Elkins and especially Messer. If they do that and Fairview pulls it off this season with the current rosters, TJ should kiss whatever ring McPeak may wear because he simply owns him. I don't see it happening, Raceland big win and impressive, revenge alone should keep the players focused.
