Lawrence County 75 Shelby Valley 14

PaintsvilleTigerfan Wrote:Lawrence county is racking up quite the track record of classlessness.

Last year The blowout victory over Paintsville they had a massive celebration on the middle of our field. First victory in two years or not act like you have been there.

Last year after they got what was coming to them they trashed bell's away locker room resulting in a already financially strung schoolboard having to pay for repairs.

Fast forward to this year you have 2 clear instances of running up the score. I was quiet about it after it happened but why would you call a timeout just to get the ball back before the half to run it up on paintsville. And now they leave their starters in against valley until the fourth. There is no excuse for that.

Of course the bulldog fans will always have one.
PTF I have a solution to t he problem that LC has alledgedly presented. Let's get LC to change the score by giving Paintsville and SV 20 points each to be deducted from the LC total. That way the game would be closer and the LC subs could play in bounds rather than getting yardage in the bleachers. OK?

I just wonder if the past two LC opponents are more upset with the LC team and coaching staff or more dissapointed in their own??

Maybe everyone is right about what goes around, I sure do remember YEARS ago when LC had just combined Louisa and Blaine to make the new LC high school and the dawgs went to the then mighty Paintsville Tigers home and lost. The next day was a marching band contest and just as LC's band took the field something strange happened, the scoreboard was turned on showing the previous nights score. I'm sure none of these boys or coaches were around then but for some whom were I'm sure they loved seeing the last two years results. So if everyone wants to keep bringing up goes around comes around I can start bringing up the goes around crap that LC went through for years prior to the 90's. They had great teams in the 90s and eveyone didn't want to play then they go through down years everyone wants to get them some, but when they turn it around faster than most thought and start to kick some tail again everyone wants to cry. Like Valley Girl said its FOOTBALL. From what I'm hearing Paintsville isn't going to need to worry about football for much longer anyway.

Well Lawrence County fans since I have an agenda and just seem to hate LC(which I do not at all, What Your Coach has done is beyond belief IMO. Also I took up for you when your scheduling was questioned). Explain to me why trashing Bell's away locker room was classy, or why calling a time out to get the ball back before halftime with us was classy. As for SV this isnt about them this is about LC. One of my coaches told me a long time ago Better to lose with class than win like an a$$. Not saying LC is always like this i would just like you guys to address these two instances in particular and explain how either shows I have an agenda against LC.

I didn't say you had an agenda. As for the deal with Bell's locker room that was done basically by one individual that totally lost it. I know it was addressed and handled. As for the timeout they probably called the timeout to try and score again. It wasn't even halftime yet.

You have to realize with LC its not about "running the score up" as much as its getting reps in for our Varsity in a game-type situation and speed.

I understand that point. Im not trying to hate on LC as much as point out how I feel about something. My brother Played At UK during the steve spurrier era at florida. Teams running up the score have always left a bad taste in my mouth. I admit it was wrong of me to just point out LC personally what valley did to Knott sickens me. They probably had it coming but to me at least it's not worth getting a little bit more in game experiance for your starters while in the process Punishing a weaker team, and risking injury. Once more this wasnt just directed at LC, I have taken up for your football program on many occasions on here. I just can't stand Spurrier style running up the score no matter who it is. Even if paintsville ran it up I would call them out on it.
I can totally agree with your post but I also understand getting the game experience.

We can agree to both hate on Steve Spurrier
75 points is pushing it a little too far......that is unsportsmanlike and very disgracefull to the L.C program....karma will get the best of them before to long

Is that more disgraceful or the fact that our reserves were the ones doing most of the scoring from the 2nd half on the SV 1st team defense??
thats pretty bad for for S.V. .......the score just looks bad to some people....sorry if anyone took offense to my last comment
why doesnt L.C play ashland anymore??
Well I have read all the comments on this topic and I for chemas-microsoft-com[IMG]http://bluegrassrivals.com/forum/ /> not going to sugar coat this. I get sick n tired of people always downing the Lawrence County Bulldogs, heck we should changes our name to the “underdogs” because that’s what we really are. From the mountains to the Tri-State area we never get any respect. We have had great teams and some bad teams, we gave dished out whooping and took a few too and we did not say one word about it. When we come out on Friday night there is one thing we have in mind…WINNING. It’s that simple, so which would be worse, a team that beats you bye 60 points or a team that runs out of bounds or takes a knee in the third quarter. Too me it would be more embarrassing to see a team trying to “stop scoring” than it would if they just played on. So yell there might be a day that we will be on the other side but you know what we will take it and go on….NOW THAT IS CLASS!!!!!
Super-card, Hope you dont take this the wrong way but you and all these other guys act like were the first team ever to have a high scoring game. well before everone starts putting down LCs coach and Kids let look at some of your all's past scores.

Sep 12, 03 Tug Valley, WV home 62 - 19 (W) S C with the win Thats 43 pt Diff.

Oct 2, 03 East Ridge home 67 - 20 (W) S C with the win Thats 47 pt diff

Sep 19, 08 East Ridge away 58 - 8 (W) S C with the WIN Thats 50 pt diff

Sep 27, 08 Magoffin County home 42 - 0 (W) S C with win Well you know 42 diff

Oct 10, 08 Pike County Central away 49 - 0 (W) S C with the win, 49 diff.

See My Point
Give these LC kids the respect they deserve SUPER-card, These kids have all worked hard and trained hard and there gonna play hard. Your Pretty good at putting down LC but I dont see you saying to much Positive talk about your Cards, sounds like your setting up for a loss from all your past post, though im new here I could be mistaken.
Sheldon Claek will be with the Pike County schools. SVHS, PCCHS, ERHS, Belfry, and SCHS.
That's how I would expect it to be but then again you never know.

With the economy the way it is the school districts are more being more vocal as to the cost of transportation cost, not only for the district, but the parents and fans. The other district will be LCHS, ECHS, WCHS, MCHS, and either Magoffin or Lewis. The KHSAA has been blistered over transportation cost from some very vocal districts.
I think you are saying MCHS is Morgan and if that is the case I would see Magoffin being the fifth since all those counties pretty much border each other. I was told yesterday that ECHS was going to be in 3a as well even though what was released earlier showed them as the first team into 4a. I wonder who moved from 3a to 4a to push them down.

What does the LCHS district look like for next fall?
Here are the stats from Friday night.

James ran for 289 yards on 10 carries and caught two passes for 60 yards. He accounted for five touchdowns.

Bentley carried seven times for 100 yards and caught two balls for 62 yards. He had three touchdowns.

Hayden Kiser was 4 of 6 passing for 122 yards, including three touchdowns.

Jacob Marcum tallied 84 yards on the ground as he added two scores.

In total, Lawrence County accumulated 481 yards on 28 carries.

Also James had 2 TD run called back that were over 70 yards each.. Crum had a TD called back that was around a 40 yard TD catch.

No one knows yet.. I we do know is we are class 3a...We could be in a district with Magoffin, Morgan Co., East Carter, West Carter. Or we could be put in the district that Russell is in this year that would put us with Mason and Lewis and not sure the other one, but I doubt it will be that district... Russell drops to 2a, Johnson Central, Ashland, Highlands are just a few that are dropping to 4a.

I like the idea of LC being in a district with Magoffin, Morgan and East/West Carter.
4a will be a very scary place. lol.

Class 4A next year will be the most compeitive class in the entire state from top to bottom. Glad LC is dropping to 3A.

So 28 carries plus 6 pass plays plus 2 runs and 1 pass called back and LC basically ran a total of 37 plays the entire night on offense. I don't see how the starters got much work at all.
