Latest classification breakdown was sent to the Superintendents, Principals, and ADs last Thursday and Friday. They will have a tremendous influence in the coming weeks. The KHSAA delegate asembly is September 20th in Lexington and I'm sure there will be some talk with the KHSAA then. Like a posted earlier, I don't believe the new administration at the KHSAA will cross the Superintendents. I case people haven't noticed there are more Superintendents running for the KHSAA Board of Control positions. They control what goes on at the KHSAA. This began when they delegates voted to separate private and public schools by the required number of votes and the KHSAA BOC overturned their vote.

And this has what to do with the game.

Hey, I have a idea....We have all these cry babies complaining LC runs the score up. Why dont we just play the first team to 50 wins! That way the team can quit playing at halftime like everybody wants us too.

 best idea i've heard!!
I don't think this weak schedule is helping them get any better too

You, as most other/all LC fans are missing the point entirely. I cant speak for everyone but...I believe the main problem was that Luke kept his starters in for so long. It comes down to a matter of respect. Which IMO is a key lesson that football teaches, I wont go into my personal philosophies but Luke lost a bit of respect from around the area from what I hear. Personally, like I've stated before, I could not care one way or the other. The main point was the personal in the game at the time. If Lawrence's JV can score I believe it was said 3 defensive touchdowns on Valley's varsity D, then by all means this is not running up the score. I do believe I hit my key points here. If something is not clear then please let me know, and I will try to make anyone understand my thought(which should be understood by a 8th grader.)
Poor Valley, Its gonna be a long season for you guys. I cheer for ya'll no matter what, but obviously something has to change. You guys thought you was good last year beating everyone pretty bad, in which I could take a 5 year old kid who knows nothing about football and win 6-7 games with the talent they had last year. I said it all along that Valley is gonna had a bad year after what they done last year to teams. If Im not mistaken Valley plays Pike Central next week, And I see the scored looking the same as this one if not worse. I dont think teams are running the score up on Valley, I just believe your that bad. I surly hope things start to change cause if it dont then Shelby Valley Football is heading( and heading ) to the old SVHS it use to be, And thats sad after all thats been done for that school. Maybe you'll should start worrying about practice and stop worrying about the way you'll look on the football field. Its just my opinion, Take it how you want. And I hope you'll get everything turned back around.
Maybe these teams need new coaches to get these kids working harder and playing harder, Like the L C kids and coaches have been doing. These kids and coaches have trained, played and coached hard and they owe no one an apology for that. I cant believe this is still being talked about.
No disrespect, but I would Like to know which coaches it is that you respect, and I see you havent read the last four pages explaining all of what you just commented about. And if you dont respect Luke then obviously you dont know luke. L C is lucky to have a coach like luke, alto, skinner, cecil, preece, bruce and everyone else who helps with this LAWRENCE COUNTY TEAM.
Heck Bell Co could score this much on better opponents 6 out of the 10 regular season games this year. Davenport could easily get 300-400 yards a game if Dudley wanted him too.

Running up the score doesnt mean nothing like there 12-0 record when Bell beat them 41-(0) last year in the Regional Championship game. When they actually play somebody please let me know.
CatDawg Wrote:If Bell didn't play up I wonder who did? The breakdown that I have had East as the first into 4a. The 4a class is going to be loaded especially if Highlands isn't allowed to continue to play up in 5a.

Bell Co will be in 3A with Corbin in the same District. Cant wait because they refuse to play us. Belfry will also be in the same Region as Bell Co.

Ummmm, I dont understand.......

*You and some others that have commented were not there. So, how can you give you opinion on something you didnt see? Are you really going to put yourself out there like that based on what somebody told you? Or are you totally just going by the score?

*I have a question for you but let me explain first. This is the second game of the year. We have alot of new kids getting time this year. Can you please tell me how they are supposed to come together as a unit and team if they dont play together? We had Paintsville, Shelby Valley then East Ridge before we play Sheldon Clark and District play. How does pulling all our starters when the game is out hand in the 2nd qtr help us prepare for stronger teams down the road?

*Here is another question for you that kind of goes hand in hand with my first question. During the Paintsville and Shelby Valley game LC didnt have long marches down the field using the clock running play after play. They broke BIG run after BIG run and Big pass after BIG pass for 30-60 yds a play. Is it our fault that other teams didnt make the tackle?

*As far as people losing respect for Coach Salmons.....People have no clue what the man does for these kids! The money, time and friendship that he has gives wont be seen by all the BUTT HEADS passing judgement. They base their entire opinion based on a score? Pa...lease

You wanna talk about scores? I was there when Boyle County handed you a L last year too. Then watched some of your fans try to start a fight on the field!

We talk with wins.

Also was at Log Mountain when the same player flipped off our fans, hit a kid, trashed the locker room and so forth.

You obviously didnt see the BIG FAT GUY right in John Dudley's face taunting him while he was on the ground crying at Boyle Co? Its called taking up for your player. Bell didnt start it. We know the class LC has from last year at Log Mountain.
Dawg days! Wrote:Knox Co????

What about KC? We beat them 34-6 with the varsity pulled in the 4th. Same team comes back this year and expect another 3 TD win against them.

Yea, I was at log mtn last year and seen a bunch of Bell Co Fans "taunting" kids. I had a FAT old man that looks like Santa Clause get in my face before his friend pulled him back.

I seen alot of classy Bell fans. The one that sticks out in my mind is the woman wearing Brown Carhart coveralls trying to picks fights on the field after the game.

My point is one bad fan shouldnt ruin the whole bunch....

LOL... say what you want too but we all know who should no class that night. I can sit here and argue all night long with fans who say they saw this and that. EVERYBODY knows about the kid that night who was a obvious sore loser.
Oh by the way loved the dance with blonde hair after beating KC last year at midfield. Can't never remember no team celebrating like this for a 2nd round win.

Plain and simple if LC's goal was to run up the score James would be averaging 25-30 carries a game instead of 8 and Bently would be up around 16-20 instead of 6. James carried 6 times 1st game and 10 the 2nd w 5 td's in both games. Bently carried 4 times 1st game and I think 7 or so the other night.
This schedule is the same LC had last year when we went to the Regional Championship so you can throw that excuse out the window.
I am still amazed that we are talking about this game.
I cant understand why BellCoBobcats keeps complaining about our scores and running up the scores on teams.Go to the KHSAA website and look up BC's scores for the last few years. Can you not see the same scores that I do? Bell has absolutly no room to complain about anyone else running up the score! Are you crazy!!! :please:

Well let me try and make myself clearer then what I was.

1) I wasn't there, you're right. I had a business trip to go do. I am making a judgement off of the score (which is clearly, without knowing the story looks like running up the score).

2) Your question: You're right. They need pt. But playing a half is better then having 2 bye weeks next year.

3) No, thats not your fault. You cant control what the other team does. I would never tell a kid not to score if he has the chance too. The problem was it being the varsity team. If your JV was in the whole time doing this. I'd never have a problem with it.

4) You're right, thats what a coach is paid to do. But this goes back to my 2nd point. If you cant afford trips out west then you have to play games like ER, SV, Paintsville, ECT... When respected AD's of the schools know they need a game they will accept a game knowing they will get beat. When Luke goes out and pulls these stunts he did this time they wont play him, thus leaving LC with 2 or so bye weeks.

TL;DR Whats worse? Taking your starters out the 2nd half? Or having 2 or so bye weeks next season?

The only two major complaints i have are that they called a timeout before halftime with us just to get the ball back and score again, and of course the rediculous celebration at midfield last year after they blew us out. If you don't believe me look at Batpuff's signature. I mean its all fine and dandy to celebrate your wins IN THE LOCKER ROOM. but they acted like they had just won a state championship, not beat a Single-A team to death.
