mrb5150 Wrote:Is he what really beat Bell. Bell tried every trick in the book that night shinning lights on the Birds when they had the ball. the best one is when they flew the chopper with all the lights on it over the field when the Birds were driven in to score.Funny just after bell got the ball and the chopper landed on a dry field by the football field.Funny thing the football field was wet :lmao:
Maybe it was ALIENS.

As I recall and you should have tapes of the games against the Birds look at them and you will see what I'm talking about I think it was 2004 with Mike Mitch. The chopper was there thats a fact they said it was there for medical emergency. But it never left.

Bell County 1-0 by forfeit. I was at that game and don't remember seeing a chopper. We did have a ambulance parked out front incase of a emergency.

Back to the topic this about Johnson Central and Bell County. Bell Just put a good old fashion whooping on jc in the second half.

In no way was their ever Helicopters, spotlights or UFO's!!!!!!:please:

BTW for all the fairytale and myth followers ask your own Coach Mueller about the field in 2004 when it was supposedly soaked and see what he says????? It wasn't. There was 1 bad spot on the field were the seams in the tarp leaked and it possibly cost Bell the game on the trick play at the end the WR slipped with the ball just on his finger tips. But anyway. Get your S##t straight before you get on the message board spreading your urban myths you heard!!!!!!:ChairHit:

Back to whats important Good game by Bell. JC is a good football team and will make some noise in November!!!

You see that is the funny thing, It hadn't rained in over a week before that game.:lmao:

Highlands has petitioned to get their wins back from that season since ultimately Mitchell was ruled eligible. Could be that Bell will lose to Highlands again this year and not even have played them.

Congrats to Bell on their win over Johnson Central.

First I want to say I dont see know one beating Bell this year.2nd The QB WAS past the line of scrimage but I dont think it would of matterd know ways.I know 1 call aint going to change the outcome of a 42-18 game.No team is going to hold Bell Counties offense very much this year.Bell you guys have a great team this year, very few in the state this year as good as you guys. Now as far as the Eagles they are a very good team also, you guys know as well as I do that JC is a very talented team also,we just dont have depth like you guys.I hope you guys dont let your ego get the best of you,I truly dont think you will,my advice is to take it 1 game at a time, because in FB anything could happen on any given night.Eagles you guys keep your heads up because I truly think we are going a long way this year.Good luck Bell the reaminder of the season. Now lets get back on track EAGLES.

the egos on this board doesnt matter (i am not sure if anyone on here that posts actually plays for bell). coach hilton and his staff does a great job keeping the team focused.

The final score shocked me in this one. Not necessarily that Bell Co. won, just thought it would be closer. Congrats to Bell County.

This is a garbage post, complete garbage!
BellCoBobcats09 Wrote:Just like the same statement I made after the JC and Knox game and said Bell Co would beat both by 3 TD's and everyone said I was stupid then too? Guess what Bell Co won 24.

Bell Co could had ran the ball in the first quarter if Dudley had chose too.

I don't really care if you predicted Bell to win by 3 TD's, cause I never picked JC to win the game in first place, I picked Bell.

BellCoBobcats09 Wrote:This is straight from the Middlesboro Daily News today..

“They scored two touchdowns late in the game when we tried to put some subs in there,” Hilton said. “They kept their starters in — I don’t know if they were going for stats or what. I know Jude got quite a few yards there at the end.

“I take Cory (Davenport) out when we’ve got the game won. That probably hurts our kids a little bit when we don’t build up stats, but we had them whooped convincingly.”

They had them beat convincingly because they executed Hilton's gameplan. For you to say that Hilton was just "toying" with JC to make them think they were stoppin Bell, that's just crazy.
Notre Dame Football…GO IRISH
My guess is that Matney kept the starters in for conditioning purposes. JC does not have great depth and if they are going to have any chance against a team like Highlands, its two-way players like Hall, Jude, and Bratten will need to be in much better game condition than their opponents in the playoffs.

When district play starts, there will be several games where JC will pull their starters out after building a large lead - so the Golden Eagles' younger players will get plenty of playing time in those games. It makes sense to leave the starters in the game in a blowout loss as long as the opposing players are providing some competition. There is no substitute for game conditioning and Johnson Central's schedule this season is front-loaded with strong competition. This team will win or lose games based on the conditioning of its iron-man starters.

Hilton is wrong about Matney being concerned about statistics. That was a stupid comment. Matney often does not even post his team's statistics on the KHSAA website until the end of the season - if ever. I think that is a mistake on his part but whatever Matney says and does before, during, and after a game is directed at making his team better whether you agree with his methods or not.

Think what you want too. Talk to a third coach and he had said the same thing, also spoke to someone with WYMT and they heard the toying thing as well.
congrats Bell..

Star Dust is a campbell co fan, I do not think I anyone has ever accused Campbell Co of recruiting. Why is it that I do not hear NKY teams accusing Highlands of recruiting, yet teams in the rest of the state constantly bring it up? Teams in NKY know what Highlands does to win (hard work, and good coaching), and teams in the rest of the state have to find a reason for not being able to beat them. Beechwoods coach was asked this year what makes Highlands what they are, and he hit the nail on the head with his response. He stated, "They take kids 5-9 170 pounds and make them into absolute maniacs. I wish I could steal the formula." This is what makes HHS good year after year.
