I honestly don't know who wins this one.
I picked Clay to win the district to begin the season but I simply don't know If either of these teams can stop each other.
Clay wins if they make their 2 pt conversions, as they seem to refuse to kick extra points.
If they miss them, Harlan wins.

Should be a good game! Either team has a great chance of winning but my pick is the Black Bears because they absolutely dismantled the Commodores at home and Clay County had a rough time of it with PCC, only coming out on top by 9 at home! Lets GO BLACK BEARS!!

Harlan County - 21

Clay County - 10

When I posted the first time, there were nearly 6 pages!! Also, some pictures were included that have now been removed. Don't know what happened.

Go Black Bears!!!

I think the Clay County Fans have been convinced by the Harlan County Fans, that theres no reason to play the game. You all have proved beyond a shadow of doubt that Harlan is the real deal and if the Bears don't beat Clay by three or four touchdown it'll be considered a failure.

Picked Clay from the start of the season, cant change now. I'm picking Clay to be district champs.

Clay-28
Harlan-22

I am cheering for Da Bears as the Da Cougars are pitiful this year
#41
You'd have to be crazy to say Harlan loses in this one.. Harlan beat the heck out of a very good PCC team @ home on senior night..

PCC had Clay Co. beat from the looks of it.

Harlan by 20+

We don't care what the score is at the end of this game as long as we have more points. But if you all want stay home and save us the effort, we'd appreciated it.

last Friday Harlan could have took Bell County down.....
Harlan laid waste to the Dores but Clay is a different team with different matchups.
Clay has some BIG receivers that look to me could go over the top of Harlan's secondary if the line holds up.
I don't see Clay stopping Harlan's run.
This one won't be another blowout....
if it is, it would speak wonders of the Cubs.
Larkey will have his club ready but I expect this one to come down to Clays 2 pt conversions, turnover margin, and most of all....
who has the ball last

I would have to pick Harlan County because it will one wild game and the winner of this game will win District Title

Both teams like to run, clock will be running more, meaning no one will win this 20+, Clay wins by a TD. You'd be crazy to think Harlan wins by 20+. Harlan is a excellent team with tons and tons of talent but not 20pts better than Clay.

Harlan Co. 35-28.

The Tigers know the Da Bears and the Filthy Animal D will be a handful, I'm sure they're the best team we've faced this year besides bell in the Grid. That statement may upset some KNOX fans, that's just the way I see it. Its the crazies thing I've ever seen that Harlan Isn't ranked in the WYMT POLL.

Defeating Perry at Air Port Gardens made a tremendous statement to all of 5A.

It does not upset me any. However, if you are right, you will have no chance to win the game. Clay's average in the seven games it has played after KNOX is 41 points per game. KNOX held Clay to one touchdown. Sooo if the Black Bears D is better, you will not even score. (lol) Just messing with you. I do think it will be a good game. HC was improved much since the first of the year but i think Clay will pull it off.

When Clay Played Knox in the Pioneer Bowl they looked horrible... absolutely no offense in the game. I figure Clay was just taking up where they left off last season by losing games, I thought they should have won the game and may have done so without a Mysterious Pass interference call that removed a Clay Co. interception late in the game, Which eventually ended up in a game winning field goal by Knox a few plays later.

Then Clay Goes up to Scott the next week who was Ranked number 4 statewide and 3rd in 6A and smacks them around on their home field pulling off a 46 - 21 upset. Then I realized Knox was the real deal, and Clay had lost to a very very good Panther team. Currently Scott County is still ranked number 18 in the state wide rankings and number 10 in 6A. Scott County had 90 players dressed only one freshman and little old Clay had 35. All the mountains teams would have been so proud you can't mess with even a handful of Hillbillies

All season Long Clay has Played to the competition they let Middlesboro get up on them 35 to 7 before going to work to pull off a one point win with two seconds left in the game. They let South hang around through half the game. Again they didn't start playing at Whitley until they were down a couple scores. Same story with Perry Central down a couple scores and come back to Win.

The closest thing to a complete game so far was the North Laurel Game in which they controlled from beginning to end 47-0. Other than that game they've just been doing enough to win, we'll see what they bring to Harlan Friday night. These teams could easily end up meeting again in the playoffs.

Looking forward to a great game I say 3 points wins it one way or the other.

Come on Zaga, after Friday night have we not graduated from the cubs????
I think we deserve to be the BLACK BEARS!!!!!
None of the BLACK BEARS are looking past Clay, we know we have a tough game and they like smashmouth football but that's the kind of game we like. It will be a good game but we win by at least 2 td's.

Harlan wins by 3 Td's, Clay has not stopped very many people this year and I don't look for them to stop the Bears with Dylon Smith back at 100% this week and the D palying the way they are. Harlan County will be the best team Clay has seen all year and this time. Sorry Knox fans but Harlan is palying better ball right now, maybe the best in the Mountains right now!

That statement just made me tear up!...No joking!...I've watched that kid since he was in middle school!...he's been tough as nails!....I wish things were different for that boy!...He's had it rough!....my whole family loves the onery thing!....Would love to see him play at least once more his last year, but lord knows I don't want him killing himself doing it!...He's one of those players fans will talk about for years!.....Remember the Dylan Smith years?....Prayers and hope!....that's all I can give him!.....But the Bears will rally together....and fight on!...for those who have gave all they had but couldn't finish!....The ones on the sideline....wishing they were part of the game!...GO BEARS!!!!
