Pikeville takes down Shelby Valley 10-3 congrats Panthers!

Tonight was another district championship for Pikeville.

But it was an absolutely pathetic display after the first inning. It is post season time. You cannot just turn it on and off whenever you want. Base running the past two weeks has led me to think they just need to advance one base at a time when they are 300% sure they can make it. Defense play spectacular again, but the last 5 innings, the bats disappeared again and settled for lazy flies.

They better get focused or it will one and done next week. If they remain focused and play to their potential, another trip to the State Tournament is a definite possibility. I hope they can string together a few good games and get the help of a good draw.

All in all, it has been a good year. 32-3. One shy of tying the all-time PHS record. Keep it going guys. Hail Pikeville!
