What happened today to throw the game times off so badly at Prestonsburg (15th region)? LC/SV was supposed to start @ 3:00 and didn't start until 4:30 and Belfry/AC was supposed to start @ 5:00 and didn't get started until after 7 p.m. Was just curious.

My thoughts exactly PT when I saw they had scheduled them 2 hours apart. IMHO, tournaments need to have the game schedule at least 2.5 hours if not 3 hours apart to insure the games have time to be played and NOT throw the other teams off with their arrival time and such.

There were a lot of heat delays yesterday. I think new rule is can't play at 99 heat index?
I know there were big delays in 7th on the turf fields, and even the 5th on dirt.

I am sure this is Shanes first time hosting a tournament of this Magnitude. There should be at a minimum 2 and 1/2 hours between games. This usually is not enough, but 2 hrs is not possible. Other than that I think the Pburg folks have done an excellent job of hosting this tournament.

But it isn't a huge deal unless you took the schedule literally and showed up 3 hours early for the last game lol.

Not complaining because the health and welfare of the players is a priority. It was hotter than hell yesterday evening and at one point, was 101 (during the LC/SV game) with humidity at 52%. I just feel that now they know better and should schedule at least 3 hours apart for future tourneys held there.

It was hot anywhere you went to, even in the press box where everyone packed into like sardines in a can which made it even worse.
