My wife and I will be in Gatlinburg from June 13-June 16. My wife has been several times and I went once when I was in the 4th grade, lol.
I know many of you go often or have been several times, what are some must see, must do, must eat, etc.. things in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge?

Have fun in the Hillbilly Holyland known as the Smoky Mountains.

As far as "to-do's", there is Dollywood (King's Island lite), Aquarium, Tanger outlets, go-carts and putt-putt golfing out the wazoo. There isn't really all that much to do other than shopping and walking the streets of Pigeon Forge. And actually, when it comes down to it, you spend more money spending 3-4 days in the Smokey's than if you had spent a week at the beach. True story.

Bennetts BBQ http://www.bennetts-bbq.com/menus.html
Almo Steakhouse http://www.alamosteakhouse.com/
Almo is supposed to be good, but I got a steak there, and it sucked. I took 3 bites and honestly went back to my cabin and eat two baloney sandwiches instead.
Dixie Stampede is a good show but expensive.

Keep them coming! Looks like it would be good information for at least 3 users whom are going. (My wife is also on this site)

Apple Barn in Sevierville is my favorite place to eat there.

Cool.
BTW-I am not a big vacation lover to small places like Gatlinburg for 4 days, I would rather save up for an extra year and go somewhere like DC or Florida, etc...
Probably the only reason I agreed to go is because her grandma and uncle are going. He is doing all the driving in his rental car AND they are paying for the hotel. (Basically, attractions and food are all we have to pay for
) Lord Bless 'Em!
Keep the ideas coming this is great stuff!

ALSO, They just put in a Titanic.

The Titanic exhibit is a must see. Puts you up close and personal to that tragedy. You get to put your hand in water the same temperature of the ocean that fateful night. Allow yourself some time, though. To get the full impact, there is a lot of reading. Very informational.

I am going down Monday morning for a couple of days. I love dollywood(son loves the rides), but I love the phillysteak sandwich that is in there. Dollywood has the southern gospel hall of fame museum in there. As far as eats I love applebarn, and I love eating golden carole. I have eating so many times down there it is hard to pick a favorite. Have a safe trip and we want details.

Mostly scenic stuff but we did hit the aquarium and Apple Barn, amongst the shops. We were with her 85 year old grandma, so we were limited.

If you are a big car guy like myself, the Floyd Garrett Muscle Car Museum is a must..next time you go, definitley stop there.

Dixie Stampede is my favorite along with the new Titanic attraction.
Went to Ober Gatlinburg, didn't really impress me. The Aquarium was nice along with the Wax Museum and Star Cars.
Lots of places to eat. Hardrock Cafe wasn't that great. Bubba Gump Shrimp was awesome. Smoky Mountain Brewery was decent. Mels Diner is good.

If you have kids, Wonder Works (upside down building) is great.
