There's a lot that goes into punting. Not just kicking the ball. You need a good snap and good blocking. He didn't get one snap that was right to him. He has to chase the ball every time and recover then get the kick off. If you watched him at half time he was rocking the ball. Let's see how he does in the rest of the season. Heck he didn't punt against Campbell County. After a few more games we can decide if he's legit or not. If he hits bombs like the punt that Goose muffed, that's collegiate level punting my friend. Now he needs consistency which comes over time. The La Salle game may be a good way to see if he's any good with pads on, that is if La Salle's younger and less experienced defense is able to stop Cov Cath's exploding offense that is averaging 49 points per game after their second game. But he'll be tested throughout the season. Just give it some time.Lasalle will get him his work. Count on that.

My guess is, there was quite a contingent of Bluebird coaches and players at the game.

After watching this game on iHigh, i thought both offenses played great. Gabe Gray had a monster game and i thought zeke pike played great too. both defenses will need a lot of work this week.

It has been terrible for years now. I was told last night, that number 24 for them quit the team last week. He was their best db and I don't know why they took him out of the game against NCC. Who ever is coaching the db's needs to really get it together.

agreed, their secondary is in trouble. the corners are giving the wide outs too much cushion and theyre not attacking the ball when its thrown or being ran towards them. they need to be more aggressive

Cov Cath is averaging 49 pts a game, but has gone up agianst two bad defenses. Let's hold off on how good they are until they play someone with a good D.

Not Campbell or Dixie. Highlands does, NCC looks OK, Not sure yet who else.

La Salle will be a good test for CCH's offense. And I also agree that they will be a good test for the punter as well. Now the kicker.....eh, he won't have a problem putting them into the endzone.

Highlands went up against Trinity and was able to hold up against them fairly well for 2 quarters. Trinity is an animal this year and no one will put up an O like that against HHS the rest of the year. HHS also held Boyle to 14 (looked rusty on first series and gave up long run when DB cheated inside on good fake by QB,which I am sure he will not let happen again) and they are probably better than Cov Cath. Watch how Dixie does against HHS D next thursday, Cov Cath gave up 35 to them and I gaurantee HHS will not give up any where close to that.

^ Like I said, a lot of guessing about the CCH/HHS outcome can be determined after the Dixie game this week

It was a scrimmage. Play Trinity now and half a hundred is going up. I don't think Boyle is better than Cov Cath. Boyle lost entirely too much and Cov Cath brought back a whole lot.

I have watch both CCH and Boyle play live this year. Have you seen Boyle or CCH? I was not at the Trinity scrimmage, but from the coaches I talked to, they played game like conditions and both teams went 100%. I heard the T offense was not holding back, but who knows other than their coaches. HHS coaching staff had nothing but great praise for how good T is and in no way thought that HHS is any where close to them this year.

What makes Boyle Co. better than Cov Cath?

Either Allen County Scottsville defense is almost as good as Highlands or Boyle County is feeling the effects of losing a lot of players on offense. Week 2 I'm taking Cov Cath over Boyle Co.

After watching Boyle/ACS game, I think CCH/Boyle would be a good match up with a slight edge to Boyle. CCH has better QB, even or slight edge to Boyle on running game, Give defensive edge to boyle (more speed). I think this would make for a good game.

They need to make some changes at Dixie..Program won't take the next step under the current leadership.

:dontthink I doubt this is true. It was a scrimmage, but how many starters were out? 4-6 by my count, including 2 very physical OTs, and a strong mix of WR and Skilled players.

Not being "in the know" of the Dixie program, I really don't know anything about the Dixie program. Dixie is not a District opponent, so we will begin to know them better.
Care to elaborate on you statement?

I think he's saying Spritzky needs to go find some new coaches, or let someone else take over

Sat right next to the coaches at the Dixie/ CCH game. Believe me or not I do not care, but I can tell you the HHS coaching staff was talking very highly of Trinity and in no way thought HHS could beat them this year. Like I said, they said Trinity could beat a lot of small colleges. Why is it hard for you to believe HHS coaches thinking some one is much better than them?

Kind of the problem that Styer had at CCHS. Instead of replacing coaches that had no business being there, he resigned!
