^Okay. Last years team must have been very very bad. If Tony can't even help that team play defense, any other coach would have had 60 scored against him in every game. So sad.
They have obviously turned it around.

First of all, RIUTG, LWC, rusty, whoever else, y'all were all right and Aslan was wrong.
Perry just flat out didn't show up, looks like another late season collapse is coming.
Thought the D played well considering the time of possession Rock had. Had a few key stops and then dumb personally foul penalties extended Rocks drives.
Rocks D was the story of the game. Huff was running for his life all night and couldn't get in a rhythm. The wet field neutralized Perrys speed, which is the key to this offense. IDK why Perry didn't run the ball more. They had success the few times they did.
Congrats Rock, y'all played great, and was clearly the better team tonight.
Granted Rock was playing without their 'best player', they still wasn't the best team Perry played this year. Knox and Johnson are better. Not trying to stir the pot, but I've seen them all play, and I'm just making an honest observation.
Imma try to not post in this thread again and get involved in the mud slinging, if there is any.

237 point for
43 points against
Average score Rock 40 - Opponent 7
Scary! Their defense is 15 points better than any other 4A teams! That equates to 2.5 per game better.

I just got home with my family. The win made for a much nicer trip than what I was afraid we were going to have. I never partook in any of the sausage/weiner festivities before the game as I didn't know which tent they were under. Would have liked to have met some of you in person. I'm proud of our boys for playing hard and keeping the intensity through the entire game which this group of kids sometimes fail to do. Good luck to you all there at Perry Central on the rest of the season as the new season begins NOW. District play begins for our boys as well and they need to keep their heads out of the clouds(or other places) and continue to concentrate on good football. They get a taste of another good and unfamiliar team this next week. That Robinson kid is one heck of a player, made some of our linemen look foolish when trying to block him tonight. Believe me, it was pointed out on the drive home to two boys in particular. Again, good luck to you there in Perry.

(1) you cant talk that much crap and not expect nothing back. for the past 6 weeks all we have heard is how rock has not played anyone, and how perry was going to win by 4 TD's. Well its come back to bit PCC in the but. Rock Is the better team. They proved it tonight.
(2) All the would've, could've, should've stuff can stop if perry could have done something they would have done it.
(3) All this talk about PCC cannon. Where is it? never heard it tonight! After all that talk, Perry is the one to be shut out.
(4) Perry Central's offensive line was soft, they could not match the physicallity of Rock's defense.
(5) In case you didn't get the memo WE ARE BACK

Congrads to rock on a solid win. Perry Central looked as if they were lost in this game. I agree you dont go for it on 4th down and long on ur side of the field unless its late in the 4th. Rock kept a good blend of run and pass. Rocks defensive line and offensive line dominated the game. Huff was on the run all night. One thing you must know when its raining and the field is wet that you run the damn ball and not throw it 90 percent of the time, Do be a good passing team you got to be able to run the ball some as well too keep your defense on its toes.

Interesting definition of "not excuses."
Neither makes me feel better because my team is hardly effected by this game.
I listed all the statements from the first and second pages. Define them as you wish.
I just enjoy from so many of you fine fans that when you can't really retort with intelligent conversation or debate, you resort to name calling. Really shows how lacking some can be on here.
Have a nice day.

Rockcastle is the best team I've seen this year; they play good, hard-nosed football. As you and I had discussed, LWC, in a couple PM's regarding my unbiased opinion, having seen both teams play, I was sure Rockcastle would beat Perry County Central. Simply put, they were just so much stronger physically and fundamentally.
Good luck going forward to Rockcastle County and also to Perry County Central.

I didnt get a chance to get on here last night after watching Whitley demolish Lynn Camp but i wanted to.
Well where do i begin.
First of all, i wont gloat to much because i knew what Rock would do i just had a hard time getting you PCC fans and even some Rock fans to believe me. Ive been saying since January that Rock had the potential to go 10-0 or 9-1.
I still think this holds true as IMO they are better than Knox, and quite equal to Russell Co.
Ive got to see Perry play for many years now and i knew Rock's style of offense would kill perry. I cant believe Rock shut them out but i had rock winning by 21 and that was close. And to do it without Rowe was simply amazing.
Perry just cant handle hard nosed football. Ive watched Whitley get physical with PCC and PCC would just quit.
I will say this though, this is probably the best team PCC has ever fielded. Remember this game means nothing. The district starts in two weeks and you all will have a Whitley team come in the plays the same style of football as Rock. Whitley is not as bad as there record indicates. and young players makes for many mistakes but they are leaps and bounds better than they were when they played Rock. We will see how they perform against Somerset this week. This same Rock team beat them, but thats because Rock is probably the number 3 team in the mountains as i have had them ranked. PCC better get focused, because it isnt going to get any easier.
As for Rock, i knew you all would win. Ive been saying it for a year now. Keep up the good work. I cant wait for the Russell and Rock game. It might be one of the best ones of the year.
Oh and BTW.
Zaga and mister perfect, ill have your avatar pics ready soon.

A dry field and PCC wins this one. But this Loss is a good thing in my opinion because PCC needed to be brought down to reality that there not invinsible and can be beat.

We shot the cannon twice at the start of the game! It was more of us not picking Saylor's blitzes up than the line being soft, because if we were that soft we wouldn't have been 5-0 coming into this one.

Some of you really believe that on a dry field PerryCC is 4 TD's better than Rock? 4 TD's because Rock won by 3 TD's and you have to be at least 4TD's better to beat team that beats you by 3. Also, remember that Rock missed out on 3 Red Zone trips, (I give Matt Robinson a lot of credit for that)
No excuses, Rock is the better team and proved it.

Wet field or not PCC would have still lost this game. Perry's QB was geting hit on almost every snap. They just could not handle the pressure Rock brought to the table. you cant really blame that on a wet field. Rock had no problem passing the ball.
The field was not in really bad shape. just some spots in the middle. outside the hashes the field was in good shape.

Having watched PCC connect on big play after big play against Knox I was amazed that a little drizzle of rain could impact the PCC passing game so much. The Rock secondary was not effective in coverage even when they attempted to double with a corner and safety. But you have to catch it for it to matter.
The blow up at the end of the game the ended any PCC chance to claw back in was dissapointing. Players get to learn hard lessons when they get ejected...
