Im not exactly sure but I think Prestonsburg rings a bell before leaving the locker room and Lawrence County pets a bulldog lol.

Isn't there a large bell at Boyle County? If so, is it rung before each home game?

At Rockcastle they walk down the hill and touch the Rock with the big sound system basting hard as a rock. then goes down to the spirt line that most of the time streches past the 50 yard line.

Myself and Ole Blue Sack sit on the fawdy or every game.
Also in highschool I wore the same pair of washed compression shorts(gross I know) and listened to the same song for 7 straight weeks and we had a 7 game win streak, once I washed them, we lost!..

Snot Bubbles! I always tried to avoid getting snot bubbles during a game, which typically meant I survived another Friday night without having to go to the Hospital for some kind of X-Ray!!!!

I always ate the same pre-game meal. I also put my pants on one leg at a time, left leg first to remind myself everyone I stepped on the field against put their pants on the same way I did. I wore the same undershirt, and actually still have it. I wore our home jersey over my cowboy collar & away I wore it outside of it. I had quite a few superstitions, it may sound stupid to some but to the person it has meaning.

2 pre game rituals i did before all football games starting in peewee
first, i would eat a chocolate chip granola bar while taking a duece, listening to classical music. second, about 2 minutes before the coin toss, i would say an our father and shoot a nice snot rocket.
post game ritual: after shaking other teams hand, i would say an our father, then ask one of the cheerleaders out. didnt matter what team cause i would always get turned down

Yes. The tradition was begun during the start of the Chuck Smith era. Players ring it on the way to the field.
I recall one playoff game where an opponent messed with and started ringing it.
Boyle won something like 40-6. May have been Central or one of the Bullitt's back in the early 00's.

Haircut the night before game, new towel, same gloves, same undershirt. Always ended on a catch during pre-game warmups, whether fielding a punt/kickoff or catching the ball. Saluted family before cointoss. Smacked someone in the helmet before taking the field.

as a fan and parent now my tradition is to get at the game the same time evry home game

^I always thought that.
I will wait to see if RockSolid69 wants to post the tradition we had after we graduated and would drive to the games, it is hilarious but it worked.

Should have seen the trainers trying to tape that up
No underwear, EVER.

I always tried to get a quick nap in before kickoff. It would drive the coaches nuts as I was napping just before going out for warmups

I'm more superstitious as a fan than I was a player. Anyone else the same?
11-04-2011, 07:45 AM
^ Interesting. I don't think I am
11-04-2011, 08:07 AM
:betterthanexpected:When I coached I would wear different holiday socks
hh: Christmas, Valentine's day, Halloween, St. Patrick's day each Friday night. If we won I worn the same holiday the next week

11-04-2011, 08:13 AM
^ Coaching I will wear the same things, plus putting it all on in the exact same order.

I've always drunk a Powerade or 2 before every game (haven't went without a powerade before a game in 3 years)
Estill comes out of the locker room, they walk by a railroad crossing with the lights on it flashing and the arm bar coming down. They get to the back of the end zone, say a prayer then come rushing out on the field through the spirit line, once they come out on the filed a Train Horn is sounded a couple times

SK is that player that I get a kick out of because he's the one always coming up to me just before the game is getting ready to start and says - "hey coach, do I have time to run to the restroom".....
