Highlands vs Johnson Central

I'd love to see JC beat them, but i just can't see it happening. Highlands is to much

Highlands 35-14.

It doesn't make a difference if I'm 8 or 88 years old. I'm allowed to think Jude's record is tainted. Not much grief on the other site for saying that. Also, I'm allowed to have to opinion that Highlands can beat Johnson very badly. Also, I'm allowed to think Johnson has spirited fans. I'm allowed to have my opinions. Lastly, unlike a lot of you other "people" on here, I don't care if anyone likes me.

I think you're probably correct!

My experience is the Highlands staff, kids and "MOST" fans are 1st Class.

Good luck to both teams!

I just want the Eagles to play the best game they have all year. If they win by 1 or lose by 30, just leave it all on the field...........NO REGRETS!

And you all have large cities which you continue to "RECRUIT" from. Like I said before, just give u guys and Trinity the dang trophy. I wish they could come up with something to keep Private and Independent Schools out of the KHSAA playoffs all together. County schools don't have a chance against this. But Highlands along with Trinity does have an amazing team. Even if they do recruit like a small college.

I think you may be going to far including the independent teams. I know in my area Russell, Raceland and Ashland are all three independent school districts. I'm sure there are plenty of others out there as well.

I wish Highlands would hire me to recruit. We'd hang half a hundy in the first half every week. Oh, I forget, that's already the case. Guess they don't need a recruiting coordinator.

If i ever hit the lotto i will show the birds how to recruit be like the LSU tigers came to highschool
True I guess your right Midee 1 about the independent schools. Just wish the private schools would have their own playoff system.
Goo luck jc and coach matney, take it to them!!!

I am predicting the same score, but if HHS offense continues to hit on all cylinders, it could get even uglier. This team has more than 1-2 good WR's like past teams, they go at least 6 deep with very good WR's. JC has shown to lack on pass D and will not be able to cover all Towles options. If HHS D slows up JC's running game, it is lights out.

Slows down? I think the obvious plan is to put 9 guys in the box and spy on Jude. Force their QB (that has thrown 4 passes including practice) to beat them. Then you're entering INT city. On D they have to stop the PT show? good luck. If youre going up against this HHS team in the playoffs pass defense better be your specialty. He can destroy you with bombs, then you blitz and he breaks off giant chunks on the ground. Sorry JC, the JJJ show is about to be canceled.

I have a great idea...Let's go to seven classes. The current 6 we have now plus 7A for just your poor rural county school. That way you could win a state championship without having to work for it like other schools do.

Your poor rural county school has access to every athlete in the county. In Highlands county (Campbell) there is one county school, four independent school districts and two parochial schools. If you think any one of these schools could "recruit" without repercussions from the other schools you are sorely mistaken.

I will concede that a few kids/parents recruit the school, for whatever reason, be it academics and/or sports. That is beyond the schools' control.

I would venture a guess that half of NCC's starters are from Fort Thomas and would certainly contribute to the success of Highlands. However, for whatever reason, they chose NCC.

When you come up with the proof of recruiting, make sure you contact KHSAA.

HHS 58, JC 14 and I agree Jude's record is tainted. But he does have the record and my respect. But if the coaches of the people he passed fed their guys the ball like Matney did for Jude they would have many thousands more yards. Everyone who has followed football in Ky for more than a few years knows the deal.
Class 4A, Region 4
Schedule: Johnson Central (9-2) at Highlands (11-0)

What to expect: Highlands will face the state's all-time leading rusher in Johnson Central's J.J. Jude, who set the record in last week's win over Holmes, but he hasn't faced a defense near as good as the Bluebirds have yet this season. Even if Jude gets some yardage, no one has stopped the Bluebirds offense yet this season as they are averaging 59.0 points per game and have scored over 60 points in a game six different times.

And do not forget the screen plays that have been going for huge yardage.

So they don't get players from the Cincinnati area? I understand there are transfers to an from every school out there. But some seem to get a little more athletically gifted ones an get them consistently? An I dont think there's much of an argument that it's the private schools who benefit the most from this?? IMO. But I do believe also that after a team like HHS or trinity get the reps that they have earned over the years people just gravitate towards winning programs like them, so the actual "recruiting" part ehh... maybe not so much. but the ability to have kids from all over attend your school without any boundaries Is probably more of a problem. IMO. An the list of schools Still alive just makes the point for public vs private debate that's a large percentage of co. Schools an small percentage of private I would bet a pay check that will most certainly be equalled out the next few rounds by losing most all public schools an I'm sure private will be represented nicely in every class? As is par. Just my opinion on what I've seen through the years. Not trying to step on toes here.

How many of your starters are originally from your county??

You just might be my favorite member
I think that JCHS coach will run up the score and keep JJ in the game just to pad his record:popcorn:
As I listen to the games, I hear the names of kids who are the sons of guys I went to school with at Highlands during the 1980s. Many of the players are the children or grandchildren of people who attended Highlands!

I am sick of people saying "Highlands has a good football team therefore they must recruit, or pay people, or inject all of their players with the "supersoldier serum"." As Blau Vogel suggests, if you have PROOF, notify the KHSAA immediately!
