IMO, they dont stand a snow balls chance in hell of beating Central this year.

Corbin has tradition, but tradition and emotion only work for a few minutes. Corbin imo is a good aa school, but in the same district as bell, #2 is their seed. Once in a decade they might win their district, i wish them the best. Central should make mince meat out of them

Corbin has a good program but it's been 29 years since they won a state championship. Trivia: Who was the QB of that team?

Corbin beat Casey County by a wider margin than Central did. I'm sure we will hear many reasons for that.

And Bell County only beat the Rebels by 47-0 while the Hounds won 40-8. Yet Bell beat Corbin 42-14 and my head is spinning. :biglmao:

Greg D. was Qb
Corbin is not very good and will not have a chance of beating Central.. THis Corbin team maybe the worst that been there in 25 years that i've been in this area..

Cotton Adams
IMO Cotton would have won a state title again, if the nuts from Corbin hadn't got rid of him.. Many of them have said that they made a huge mistake by getting rid of Coach Adams..

Central by a wide margin.....
Had Cotton Adams stayed at Corbin he would have won at least two more titles but like a lot of schools there are "supporters" who control more than they should and they are the reason that Adams left.

I believe he did a great job there but what two years did you think might have resulted in another AA title for the Hounds?

That was a mistake, although they thought Whitaker was bringing Couch with him when he replaced Adams. I'm not sure who were the forces wanting Adams gone, not sure they would admit to it now.

I've heard a LOT of rumors about this..
Might be a good topic for a new thread!

Corbin beat Henry Co 14-7.
Central beat Henry 45-12

Plus Central rarely runs the score up on teams even when they can. Against e-town , well e-town just couldn't tackle.

The best present Corbin ever gave Whitley. (And Only lol)
Corbin was serious politics back in the day but there two biggest mistakes ever was letting Cotton go and not doing everything they could to keep Hicks around to coach basketball....
Cotton Adams is one of the best minds in the entire game of football.
The man knows more about the game than everyone on this site does put together.
I wasnt much when i started playing back in the 90's but by the time i graduated, not only did he turn me into a pretty decent football player, he turned all of us into better men.
Best coach ever.

I wasnt around then to know, but from what ive been told, they should have won it in 81 as well which would have been 3 in a row.
I think they got beat by Glasgow maybe? And hadnt they already beaten the crap out of them earlier that year?
He might be referring to the 86 team, which i believe wass pretty good and the 96 Corbin team might be one of the most talented teams to never win a state title.
