Belfry @ Breathitt Co. 11/18/11

Unfortunately for the Bucs, BC has a nice big tarp to cover
the field. Weather (natural or hosed in) won't be a factor
in this game with a clear forecast for Thur & Fri.
LOL, I know you are referring to 2002 and the mud bowl that was Vipperman field that night. Believe it or not, that mud was all natural, not man made.

That was the worst field conditions I have ever seen though.

I thought that was a masterful performance by Breathitt that game, Haddix was a killer on offense and the defense was on lock down.

Natural that time.... Danville @ Belfry back in the day may not have been though.
Bigblue#4 Wrote:I know that this is not about Hazard and Somerset. But I have watched HHS and SHS and JCC and I would guarntee that Hazard would of Beat JCC and I'm sure they would of gave Ashland all they wanted. The reason been they have a ton of skill that JCC could not keep up with and they have a darn good defense. But like I said it not about them teams about the bobcats and pirates. These two teams know each other and they know what to expect out of each other and strong schedule or weak schedule it not going to matter a whole HELL of a lot, it will be decided in the trenches and who has the least amount of turnovers. So lets quit comparing scores and teams and let this be decided on friday were its going to be decided anyways. Good luck to both teams and I hope it is hard hittin injury free ballgame.

Hazard(1a), Somerset(2a) both have a great shot of playing for state championships. In all honesty, neither one of them would beat Ashland or Johnson Central. Hazard is a good class A team, Somerset is a good 2A team.
Ashland or Johnson central would beat either of them by at least 2tds.
Hazard hurt Breathitt spreading the field and throwing the ball. Your not gonna' line up and run over Breathitt. The key is Belfry's ability to throw the football on play-action. The key for Belfry is you have to tackle Collins and Trent. I give Breathitt the edge at Breathitt. Breathitt has big play rec's in Fletcher and Noble. They have 2 guys who burn you deep and 2 guys that can beat you running. Breathitt is the more balanced team. Breathitt county 35 Belfry 28. Too much balance for the bobcats. Collins and Trent running, Fletcher and Noble receiving.
I think Breathitt's defensive ends will give Belfry's veer alot of problems, Collins and Fugate are very solid.
ATTN: ALL BOBCAT NATION !!!!!!! Get the tombstone ready and the funeral as well and burry the Pirate next to the Hawk // the funeral will be at Mike Holcomb Field // Friday at 7:30pm
BOBCAT Wrote:The question is ALSO;can you stop US?

yeah im pretty sure we can because we have a lineman that is 6 7 and weighs 260.. and a huge line so yeah

My understanding is that WYMT will be carring this game Friday night.

Throw all the burs at Belfry you want... those little prickly things won't be able to stop Belfry from marching up and down the field at will.

Coach has had the field covered since Monday. We have a very good drainage system for the field, along with the tarps covering it, it should be in great shape.
Are you positive about this? Is it on their website?

Size isn't everything. I have seen and I am sure you have too, enormous kids who have the body for football, but they are too slow and uncoordinated and therefore basically useless on the football field. A lot of times they just end up taking up space, which in great for helping stop the run, but not so much for the pass rush. But from my understanding these kids are actual starters and can play. I am just saying that size isn't always a great thing.

It is the game of the week so it will be on tv. They air it live, I am not sure about reruns, but I sure they have them also.

ok,thanks i didnt know if the did or not..
Belfry will win cause breathitt hasnt played nobody but bell co. will run the clock on either of them so it doesnt matter who wins.
if anyone finds out if it will be live on internet please let us know,so i can watch it..

I know that in the live video (sticky) it was picked up on WYMT as the GOW and will be on WYMT, so I hope it will also be fed online for all of us that can not make the trip to Jackson. Good luck to both teams.

Should be a great physical battle but, I don't see anyone slowing the Bobcats down!! I think that it will be a very close game to the end but, Breathitt will prevail!

Breathitt Co. - 28

Belfry - 24

LOSERS QUIT WHEN THEY'RE TIRED, WINNERS QUIT WHEN THEY HAVE WON
The big three up front on defense doesn't worry me.I watched them on film and I thought the defense was better when they went smaller three.

If im not mistaken, Belfry played PC and the score was 52-20,,,when Breathitt Played PC the score was 53-20, sounds like pretty much the same score to me.

Correct and if you would have read his post that I quoted on he said that Breathitt would hold Belfry scoreless. My point is still like it was at that time.....THAT ISN"T GOING TO HAPPEN.....

does that mean Breathitt by 1,lol

I just lost all respect for the seemingly sensible arguments that you have ever made. It has become painfully evident that rehab is imminent to your future as well. Don't be discouraged though the awakening that you experience Friday will hopefully save your life.

1 or 100;I'll take the W no matter what the score is.
BOBCAT Wrote:1 or 100;I'll take the W no matter what the score is.

same here go Pirates...
I had a dream a couple nights ago and Belfry controlled the game through 3 quarters, then Breathitt hit on a couple late scores including a last second score to win the game. Do not know that this game will go this way, but it would be neat...lol

The only awakening I will have is Saturday morning. I will wake up, feel good, and book my hotel room for Bowling Green to watch the Pirates play the first week in December Big Grin

Will they make reservations that far in advance? 2012 is a long time
away. And you have no idea what kind of team Belfry will have next year.

Wake up dude. BC's schedule is no more suspect than Belfry's.
and Bell Co. has less chance of making Bowling Green than
Blefry/BC. They not only have to beat Central at Central, but then
almost cetainly will have to find a way to take an 8 hour trip
to Paducah and beat the Tornado. They do that and I might
advise the B/B winner to just stay home. But they ain't doing that.

No but BC's highly UNDERrated defense will.

I know exactly what kind of team Belfry will have next year because it is the same as this year, just like it is the same as last year:

The Best in the Eastern Semi-State and it's subsequent representative in Bowling Green
