That's great. My analogy. It's kind of like beating up a guy and then dating his girlfriend. I guess Holy Cross called Newport and said something like "hey, we smacked around NCC and now they won't need the field next week. Can we use it?" I'd even venture to guess that Holy Cross would pay fair market rate for the field usage.

To be more accurate - Holmes' field is in no shape this time of year to play on ,with the continuing rain it's pretty bad. Holy Cross then contacted Scott to use their field but could not because the temporary restrooms have been removed and the locker rooms building (Eagles Nest) is being removed. So they went to their 3rd choice in Newport a field they've played on three times this year.

My guess is that NCC already had it reserved, thus HC just may have had to pay NCC for the use of the field!

History will remember this date when Chief Blitzing Bruce ambushed General Eviston's troops and promptly occupied their settlement.

Shouldn't the hc symbol in Campbell Co. be placed on the north side of the Ohio river where ole Bruce gets some of his athletes with the promise of "saving there soul"???:coach: Had to go where the thread took me.

hey Dale Mueller and Lynn Ray told us to get creative after Dale snagged Lorenzen from Taylor Mill and Lynn snagged Mitchell and Stowers from Covington.
In all fairness, currently only 1 football player is from Cincinnati and his 3 older brothers played at Holy Cross and his uncle coached at Holy Cross since the beginning of the program. And we stole those kids from Elder
