I've heard a lot about Fairview Eagles football this year. I heard that they are going to be even better next year. I hear that they have some of the best recruiting classes out there, and they will be able to compete with the likes of Trinity, St. X., Highlands, and Bowling Green. How many 4 and 5 star recruits are coming to Fairview next year? How many from their current recruiting class will stay?

i would say most recruits will stay but i'm sure at least four 5 star recruits will come in. They also will try to beef their schedule up to play teams like knott county and jackson county in order to get better prepared for average teams like pikeville. Sounds like a dynasty in the making. That's great recruiting! Fairview should be a dynasty in no time. Knott and Jackson sound like they would be powerhouses to give Fairview a real challenge. Highlands thought about scheduling the Eagles but we decided to back out because we know we wouldn't stand a chance. Trinity doesn't even want to mess with Fairview.

Raceland people don't like it because TJ is 0 2 against fairview and other schools don't like it cause they are beating them. You guys better get ready because they are program now and it's time people grow up and this site needs to take action against people making false accusations.

You better tell the bulldogs to get in the weightroom and get better, they got long way to go before they compete for regional. Sure weren't great this season, might need to beef up schedule to beat belfry

Thats what you eagles get made fun of every year is that you beat all these weak and horrible teams and brag about being great yet turn around and get beat by a good team because your team isn't set up to handle adversity. You are correct. In fact, the Rose Hill-Ashland underground railroad also has a spur that runs from Rose Hill to Millseat. But who cares? Certainly the KHSAA doesn't care. It is just fair to remind others occasionally that such activities continue, as always, to be running at full throttle in the district.

It's just highschool Football! Let the kids have fun and for the one's that play by the rules enjoy success! I am a firm believer in Karma. A little school like fairview has to be able to get some players in or they will lose football, I have no problem with that, every coach in this area would take a Turner or Jennings and we all know that!!

Nathan has done a great job coaching football as well as the young Cooksey in basketball. Who cares about kids transferring. You personally recruited kids at the Hell and mean...the Hill. The Hill is all about transfers. Go back to doing your daily crossword puzzle and reading your christian horoscope and you will be fine.

What would happen if McPeek left tomorrow? Would Fairview still be a program? Who would replace him? Would Cooksey come back and run it into the ground?

I think Fairview is on their way to becoming a program. Let's face it, McPeek isn't going to stay at Fairview forever. I've heard stories, first hand from kids who have played in the program since McPeek has been there and a lot of these kids aren't happy about coming up through the ranks of the Eagles program only to be replaced by a senior who is brought in from somewhere in West Virginia. This same scenario played out at Rose Hill and it eventually imploded on them and it will eventually play out with Fairview.
