All I know is, democrats are foaming at the mouth hoping Santorum takes the whole shooting match, and get's the nomination, in the primary.

These types of polls are meaningless. The GOP candidates are running to get the nominee, trying to knock the other guy out and only occacsionally going after the President.
So any sitting President should fair well in those types of polls
