If they can have soccer teams then they can have a football team. I would like for them to get one started.

Speaking of Soccer, I seen on Jackson City's Soccer Schedule and They are only scheduled against Wolfe County once, how can that be when both are in the same district? I know Wolfe is scheduled with Estill (Boy/Girl Double Header - Both Games) Sep 22 & Sep 29

It's always good to see another school adding football. It sure won't be easy though. I coached a school that had never had a program. Talk about many challenges. The program is in good shape now, but those first few years were rough! Such is the nature of the beast. Good luck to Wolfe County.

Edit: Just noticed it's Wolfe County with an E at the end. I looked it up on the KDE website and it says the enrollment is 375 so your number is probably just as accurate Strikeout. That's a decent size school. I'd think they'd be borderline 1A/2A.

Seems like there are still a fair number of schools that don't have it. A lot of places claim it's too much money. Granted, it is a rather expensive sport. However, I will say that it is a sport that has the potential to pay for itself. You can't say that about a lot of other sports.

Where did you hear this at? Any links to show it's happening? I checked the school website but the school board records aren't even on the site.

Ozz Jackson told me they are discussing it for the first time. They may have gotten some help getting the program going. That has been three month go.

That would be about as likely as snow in July. (or of Fball making a logical
post).
