You heard right, no promises from him that's for sure. If Matt Daniels can go then he will be the guy but if he can't then from what's been said so far and seen no way the Miller can compete with K Daniels. Bigger,stronger,more athletic in that position and can punish on the run. But it does not go without saying buddy system is alive and well at that school. So you may be right, we will see but typically BMR will go with whomever gives them the best chance to win.

Interesting. You may call me an old timer but I say line 'em up and let them go at it head to head and may the best man win. I still think it would be hard on either of them to start QB as a freshman.

I would be interested to know what offense we are going to be runnign this year? As for the Qb with BMR the best kid will play, no matter whose feelings get hurt.

It's hard for any kid to do anything as a frosh in Varsity football!

Jimmy Daniels will be calling the offense again. So it will be the same offense as he ran last year. Personally I don't understand why Coach Runyon doesn't call the offensive plays. I could understand him not doing it if he were at a bigger school but not at Paintsville. You can bet your butt coaches like Phillip Haywood and Jim Matney don't trust anyone else with calling their plays.

This is right on, the change is now. If this program is going up it needs to start at the top. Best of luck to the Tigers

I say you are right, if you line em' up the there is no comparasion.

If it's the same offense as last year Paintsville will struggle again. I agree that your head coach should call the plays because he is in charge of the whole thing. I wish Paintsville luck but I'm not complaining if they stay the way they have because that means more kids will keep coming across the creek to coach Matney.

I just herd that the QB will be Cash Daniels he has the best arm of all is what I herd and Fannin is a close second but now this is hear say.

If Matt daniels is cleared to play he is your QB.

BMR will run things his way. After all, he's a proven winner. But the first order of business is changing the culture and restoring pride. Then, winning will take care of itself.

Paintsville used to be an elite team in the EKY area. It would be great to see them get back to that level. Best of luck to Paintsville this year.

Word on the street is he will not be the starter if Matt Daniels cannot go. The buddy system is alive and well still. Best of luck to the Tigers.

Thanks PTF. Thirteen kids is better than twelve, and more than I have heard in the last two years almost combined. Hopefully this year we can see the start of improvement.

That district is brutal though raceland great program, fairview great program, Nicholas county always physical and well coached

If the 2012 Tiger Football season is played between the lines it could and should be a great step forward for the once great sport at PHS. If it is played outside the lines then it will most likely take the program on to obscurity. Tough district and if it hasn't changed a very weak outside schedule. Let's face it, the East Ky. School For Wayward Girls could be a winner in the out of District contests. Raceland ,Fairview and Nicholas are real tough. Can the Tigers compete there ? Sure they can but will they?

Blackcat, they actually had around 18 by the time they got started not excluding middle school players. I would say 16 varsity players.
