There out of Nashville and won two straight state titles in TN's D2AA
There pretty dang good, but i think Lex Cath can handle them.
Heres a story.
With back-to-back state titles in Tennessee’s Division II-AA and the potential to be even better this year, Ensworth (Nashville, Tenn.) has the makings of a bona fide dynasty.
It makes sense that Ensworth is rising on the national scene. The level of talent in Tennessee - Nashville in particular - continues to improve. Not only does Ensworth get its share of those top players, but head coach Ricky Bowers does an outstanding job guiding them at the helm.

This year’s team returns do-everything senior Cornelius Elder. An SEC-caliber recruit, Elder is a shifty running back who catches the ball well out of the backfield. He’s a gifted athlete who also stars in the secondary as well as on the basketball court.
Quarterback Andrew Bowers also returns after throwing for 1,800 yards and 22 touchdowns as a junior. Receiver Myles Pasley will have to replace the production lost by Cory Batey, but he’s experienced and a receiver that Bowers trusts.
The offensive line, which was remarkably young last season, returns the likes of Jay Heins, Nick Brown, Xavier Forrest and Parker Wade, will be a strength of this year’s team and should allow Elder to break many long runs.

Myles Pasley will step into a marquee receiver role for
Ensworth this season.
. The depth at the position may mean that 6-foot-5 sophomore Greg McCloud will be a backup, a luxury that most teams can’t afford, given the type of promise that McCloud has.
On the defensive line, Shoman White and Cody Pack are back, while the linebacker unit features Brennan Washington, Anthony Batey and Andrew Freeland.
The secondary, with Elder and Justin Lloyd, will also be very strong. Watch for Rico McGraw, a sophomore with an Alabama offer, to see some action.
Overall, this is a team with few weaknesses. Should it play to its potential and avoid hiccups (like last year’s regular-season loss to Baylor), it could soar up the rankings

Great detail gut. This not only will be a really good game, but a great opportunity to show the rest of the country KY football, which ultimately helps recruiting exposure

People may or may not believe it, but as you said, this has HUGE recruiting impact.
Kudos to Lex Cath for getting a game like this.
If they can beat Ensworth, it could open a bunch of doors into the world of recruiting.
Just think about if Lex Cath beats them and then Lex Cath ends up losing to schools like Highlands, Boyle, and maybe even a smaller 4A school, it just makes KY look better as a whole.
Great thing happening here.

I agree with the premise here. I just hope for an alternate scenario to the end. Hopefully, the strong rivalries of the old 3A/current 4A schools will get some highlighting during the broadcast. Highlands, CovCath, LexCath and Boyle Co. rivalries could be a good sidebar.
Trinity will be grabbing headlines again this year. And Highlands should get more national headlines as well with their streak. This will just help bring some more national coaches eyeballs to Kentucky players being a national game.
The proof that Kentucky is getting more respect is when we get more than just one player on the US Army squad in San Antonio.

I would like to see Highlands and Trinity both get a game on national television as well.
Highlands, Lex Cath, and Trinity vs. 3 of Tennessees best.
Talk about a good weekend of watching football.

There have been rumors that Trinity will play Indianapolis Cathedral at Lucas Oil Stadium on September 21st and the game will be televised on ESPN. Nothing official yet, but it is a possibility.

These "maybe" games should have already been scheduled, like the Trinity game mentioned above.
Football season begins in just a little over a month.

I don't think Ensworth and Alcoa play. At least not in playoffs. Ensworth Div II private and Alcoa AAA. They both won championships in 10.
Ensworth did not even start football until "04". I think with 1st full varsity season in "07" and 1st graduating class in "08". It says on their website they have over 1000 students from 48 different zip codes.

The game has already been scheduled. Trinity played Indianapolis Cathedral at home last year so this year they are supposed to play at Cathedral. They are just trying to get it on ESPN.

RunItUpTheGut,
That zip code thing might not mean much.
Jefferson County has 73.
Campbell County, which has roughly 20,000 more residents than Pike County, has only 11 zip codes.
Pike County has 41 zip codes.

You are correct i got them mixed up with Montgomery Bell*

Lex cath shoud be solid, but if this Ensworth team is as good as advertised i don't see Lex cath winning this one.they may keep it close with thier passing game, but i dont think it'll be enough to get a win.
