Let's see how many people support Obama's War on Coal and his squandering billions of dollars on windmill and solar power boondoggles like Solyndra and how many people are ready to return a sane energy policy to Washington.

Quote:Romney to lay out 'comprehensive energy plan'
Mitt Romney plans to roll out an energy policy blueprint on Thursday, according to published reports.
The presumptive GOP White House nominee signaled his plans at a Houston, Texas, fundraiser on Tuesday, according to The Washington Post.
âWe will be, I believe before the end of this week, in New Mexico describing a comprehensive energy plan, particularly as it relates to fossil-based fuels,â he said.
âI know that we have members of the media here right now, so Iâm not going to go through that in great detail so I can save a bit of that until a little later in the week. But your input is something I wanted to retain before we actually cross the Ts and dot the Is on those policies,â he told donors.
Romney is slated to campaign in New Mexico on Thursday, Reuters notes.
Energy is already playing a prominent role in the presidential race.
President Obama has been taking aim at Romneyâs opposition to extending tax credits that help finance wind energy projects, while Romney used an Ohio campaign stop last week to allege Obama is hostile to coal and oil-and-gas.
Romney has already described several aspects of his energy proposals.
He has vowed to approve the Keystone XL oil sands pipeline, and seek a major expansion of oil-and-gas leasing on federal lands and waters â including Pacific and Atlantic Coast waters that remain off-limits under Obama.

That picture with Romney with Miners. It is hard not to get emotional about something like that when it means so much for our area.

It is time for Romney to get specific.

It's time for rational working folks to get real. This aint no pillow fight. I would contend if folks actually reelect this zombie to the the white house, you can kiss any memory of a sovereign and idyllic land of the free goodbye. We have less than 10 years to enjoy the fleeting last vestages of liberty and free enterprize. You can't expect Romney to appeal to the hand out crowd. Those who want the government to give them everything, will in fact get their wish. The cupboard will be long bare by the next decade however, and the free ride won't get them off of their own block anymore. Much less, supply their every whim from cradle to the grave as is the case now. It takes trillions of tax dollars to fund the 'gravy train ride' and the money won't be there.

Of course! To think that we have been willing to so suffer at the hand of the EPA, (which is the enforcement arm of the la-la liberal) it's maddening. The richest nation in the world, replete with all the natural resources our civilization would ever need for hundreds of years down the road, and we choose to live like paupers. And we do that because the tree police are out there finding the end of the planet under every rock and floating in every stream. We are the single most developed nation on the planet and Obama and the environmentalists are demanding we conserve resources on the subsistence level. I don't know about those reading this but I don't want to be a full time tender of the planet. I know from my studies in the scriptures that God wants us to enjoy life, and He made everything that constitutes the known universe so that man may have, what I would term, a 'thrill ride' of an existence.
I've mentioned before the tree police want to limit your time in the shower, and how hot your water should be. They would have everybody in a smart car, the movements of which would be monitored by some government agency. They would have us bundled up like eskimos in our homes during the winter with the thermostats set on what, 62 degrees? No more incandescent light bulbs, (I'm still mad about that).
No industrial pollutants allowed of any kind. I don't know any other way to break this to folks but, if we really do see the elimination of coal fired generating stations, every single household will have a set limit on how much electricity you will be allowed to use each month. If you go over, you will pay dearly. The same will be true for the other utilities, natural gas, water, (people with a pool in their back yard will see the day when it will simply be out of the question to keep it filled) When water usage is monitored to the extent the environmentalist is now pushing for, folks really will pop in and right back out of the shower, they'll have no choice when the utility pricing domain is in the stratosphere.
So by the rationale of the liberal, even though we've sacrificed as much as any nation dare in order to remain free and pursue happiness, we as a people, should now submit willingly to the unreasonable dictates of a runaway government agency of vague and questionable intent, that agency of course, is the EPA. They have displayed an unswerving bent to totally dominate at every level of existence, the lives and freedoms of every man, woman and child in this land. It's a nightmare that even Freddy couldn't handle. Only a true mental midget would try to defend the exclusion of the Canadian pipeline. I've heard some dumb things said and seen some dumb things done under this administration's oversight but, that has to be the dumbest thing ever. (unless you want to throw in the side deal Obama has with the Russian president to roll over on America's defense initiatives once he's reelected)
There is a lot more at stake this election than the fiscal cliff which, looms ever so ominously up ahead for America. We are in the process of giving up our freedoms which were paid for in so dear a fashion, not so long ago. I mean, the "Great Generation" folks still survive in part and may yet live to see the fall of their beloved country. Not to Hitler, Mussolini, or Emperor Tojo, but to the powers that have a torniquet around our nation's flow of energy. No this proud conqueror is the EPA, whatever that is. An entity that starves industry and families alike, into oblivion and submission and for what? The green agenda of course, and the whole host of 'sky is falling phobias' they propagate which, are born of hysteria, hypocrisy and falsified data provided by psuedo science.
There are many more very important issues which demand our attention, and soon. IMO, America will indeed transform into a state social sameness which, Obama and his kind have envisioned. In Obama's America everybody will have the same level of health care, relatively the same amount of money, a folks vwagon to get around in etc. The hope we all grew up with, in which we looked to the future, feeling unlimited to go out and claim our part of the American dream, is about to disappear for today's college grad. Are hand out lines the like of soviet Russia on our horizon? Yep, if Obama is reelected, I'd bet on it.
Or, we can vote for Romney. He'll loosen the EPA torniquet and let our nation's life blood flow again. Good jobs that young folks starting families will need to provide for them, will be available again. Energy costs will necessarily plunge under Romney's leadership. Or you may prefer the skyrocket ride Obama has promised ever so sincerely while on the campaign trail in 2008.

This is the weakest recovery in more than 70 years and it is no accident that it has occurred under the insane policies of Barack Obama. We are looking into the jaws of financial Armageddon and Obama and the Democrats have no interest in preventing it by proposing a budget and putting it to a vote. Obama's war on coal and lack of a responsible energy plan will have a lasting impact on our economy.
I honestly believe that if Obama loses the election and no budget compromise has been reached, he will stand idly by (on a golf course, no doubt) and watch the economy crash and burn while Romney awaits his inauguration.

Well, I know you consider yourself some kind of self enlightened visionary. You can't see over the railing of the democrat's ship of fools but, you still think you're in a position to talk down to everybody who isn't a thoroughly indoctrinated democratic lackey. I'll let you in on a little secret, the democrat platform is a collection of socio-political ideas, most of which were test driven during the FDR era and failed to produce the expected results. History records this kind of thing if you could just get your jaded glasses off long enough to see the truth.
In the mean time, all the points I made regarding resource management as envisioned by the leaders of your party, (that would be the left wing extremists who write down all the talking points for the dems and their supporters and populate the halls of EPA) have recorded these very ideas in their writtings and speeches. At any rate, Romney is correct. We can easily become energy self sufficient again and generate much needed revenue and millions of permanent high paying jobs in the process. Isn't that what Barry says he wants to do? When he's not slamming George W or Romney and Ryan that is. The only problem for the dems is that Obama is totally under contract with the liberal green doctrine and therefore will never do what needs to be done with regard to our national energy policy. He's too busy saving mother earth to get all tore up about the millions out of work and our declining way of life.

Try to understand this, as George W was leaving office the debt was 10.6 trillion which, Obama said was "unpatriotic". The national debt will ironically pass the 16 trillion dollar mark the week of Sept. 3rd, during the democratic national convention. If Obama does get elected to a 2nd term the debt will top 20.3 trillion by 2016. Now, we borrow .40 cents of every dollar we spend. And, just as in the case of the overextended, but hopeful would be individual borrower, when one's debt to earning ratio exceeds his ability to repay the loan he is turned down. China et-al will turn us down at a point not so far down the road. But, rather than face reality, all the dems want to do is slam George W for his economic shortfalls and blame him for the mess we're in (see your bolded) Here are the bare bones facts on the matter. When George W left office the US debt to earning ratio was .45 cents worth of debt for every dollar we took in, in taxes. That ratio is now .73 cents worth of debt for every tax dollar. This according to Charles Krauthammer. Is there any remote possibility he may have just a tad bit more insight than you on the subject? Which is worse in your mind, 45 cents per dollar, or 73 a scant 4 years later? I'd love to see us back where we were 4 years ago, we'd owe 6 tillion less and our debt to earnings would fairly shine like the noon day sun.

now alot of the debt in 2009 was bush's it was his budget
if we could go back in time 2001 was when bush took office
i believe it was a little over 5 trillon and the yearly budget we had
a surplus
but 1980 would probally be the best time when reagan took office
the overall deficit was 250 or 300 billon and i can rember regan
giving carter hell for so much debt when regan left i think it was
3 trillon

If Obama follows through on his threat to allow tax rates to soar at the end of 2012, and considering that he and the Democrats have not approved a budget for the past 4 years, that is a likely scenario, we will be in a recession when 2013 begins, if not sooner. Change you can believe in - change for the worse.

in 1980 the top tax rate was 72% romney is going to balance the budget
cut the tax rate on coroprations 10% raise the military budget 200 billion
on top of the 1 trillon we already spend drop the regulations on the banks

one thing that might get us out of this mess is the congress and senate
members pass term limits you just get one term that way they can make
