Bell County is still King. Belfry close by.
10-01-2012, 03:19 PM
Bell until someone proves otherwise.
10-01-2012, 04:01 PM
Who cares? The only kings I can think of, are Hazard, Covington Holy Cross, Central, Highlands, Bowling Green, and Trinity. So I guess Hazard is.
10-01-2012, 06:51 PM
Belfry the best like it or not 2. Knox 3. Bell 4. Whitley 5. Harlan,Cent 6. Johnson,Centt7.Somerset 8.Breathitt 9. Hazard 10. Perry.
10-01-2012, 06:52 PM
None of them. All would get destroyed by Highlands.
10-01-2012, 06:53 PM
Yes I agree 100%

You have a big mouth wide! Rock destroyed your team (which is my ALMA MATER) and rock has been destroyed by your team also! So I think you and I should settle the mountain v/s Norhtern Ky debate! lol.... Put your Wide mouth where your money is bud! Me and you in a cage... 3 min rounds and 3 rounds! I'm sure many people on here would pay to see me destroy you in a cage!!! We can donate all money to Bluegrassrivals. This is a site about sports and i'm inviting you to try a new one! I'm 5'8 190 so you, playing for highlands, must be much bigger!!!! It will be fun!!!haha!!! My friend schedules fights in Ky.... Let me know WideMouth..... Oh I mean wideright!

Bell until somebody knocks them off....Belfry is a very very very close second.

Wow, I imagine WideRight, Who I'm personally a fan of, must have upset you pretty darn bad over something, surely it wasn't that though? Because he wasn't lying, Highlands can and would beat them all as bad as I hate to admit it. Trollin' ain't easy, someone's gotta do it, and I'm glad it's a humorous someone such as Mr. Right.

How has Bell proved that they are.....Please show proof of your theory.....
10-02-2012, 08:35 AM
When was the last time someone EAST of I -75 beat Bell County? When was the last time Belfrey lost to anyone East of I-75 other than Breathitt County? Bell is still the top dog like it or not. Belfry a real close second, Knox Central, Harlan County, Whitley, Breathitt County, Somerset, Hazard, and I am sure I left someone out.
10-02-2012, 09:18 AM
Belfry has lost to Pburg, Sheldon Clark, Breathitt, JC, Russell, and Ashland. They have however never been shutout by Central and they have come closer than most 3A schools in beating them. I would objectively put Bell and Belfry as the top two mountain programs overall right now based on a lot of factors. JC, Breathitt, and Harlan County are right there with them.
10-02-2012, 09:25 AM
Seriously that's your theory.....your comparing teams just east of I-75.... let's compare the game to central last year....you guys got shut out 26 to goose egg.....we was a point.....just a thought maybe not the best theory but better than the one above....

How about this theory then. Bell beat Bryan Station on the road 32 to 31. Lafayette (at home) barely beat Bryan Station 33-29. Lafayette (at home) beat Henry Clay 42-21. Henry Clay beat Belfry 40-20 at Belfry. Does this work better for you. Bell would seem to be the better team.

mountain teams are too one dimensional they will never win big games playing that way sorry mountain teams i mean to just speak the truth not be mean

Where does Kevin Bacon fit into this equation now?
Seriously, I could care less about the fictional "King of the Mountains". How many times has the team who finished the regular season ranked at #1 in the WYMT Poll went on to finish there after the playoffs? It makes for fantastic fodder for discussion, but at the end of the day it will always be subjective.

It " seems" stupid.......just face it dude when you say mountain football to anyone across the state, Belfry is the team that comes up....why, because we go further into the playoffs....oh wait there is another theory
10-02-2012, 10:12 AM
It's like this, Bell and Belfry haven't played since 98, if they had I can honestly say the record would be about even, but they haven't, therefore the "not been beat since 2006" argument really can't solve it when it comes to Belfry ... however, I personally dgaf because in my world (and most peoples) "Kings" are crowned by championships. The only mountain team hailing a state title, is Hazard.

Maybe when Bell won it all in 2008. Or does this not go back 4 years.
10-02-2012, 10:52 AM
I think Knox County is better than Bell or Belfry this year.

It "seems" just as stupid to compare Bell losing in the playoffs last year and Belfry losing to the same team by less points as justification that they are indeed the better team. The only way to find out who is better is play each other, all other is speculation. There is always a way to make your point for or against any argument you want to make.
I live in this state and when I hear mountain football I sure don't think of Belfry first. It may be thought of first in your county or city, but not across the state. Get over yourself, dude.

Well then your not bein honest john......ii will tell you this I live in Louisville well Fort Knox....so i hear from people all over the state because national guard soldiers train here....and when the subject of mountain football comes up...it's Belfry.....I hope and pray you guys can beat Central and we can get to the finals.....Two things I know johnny boy, that's how to train soldiers and football.....And Bell county cannot play with Belfry....But hopefully it's decided in Bowling Green....

Outside Lex,Cath or BryanStation who has Bell Played??? Wayne,Co played them 21-7. Now I know Bell has a good team but time will tell the only hard game they got left is Harlan,Cent and they have fits with them but Harlan is down a little from the past couple years.

You're thankful we haven't played Rock in the past five years. That would be a spanking Rock fans would never forget and it would thankfully (for Rock) involve a running clock. Too bad Rockcastle, even during the year they beat Highlands, could not win a state title. In fact, has Rock ever won a state title?
Everything I say is a question or a fact. You can't stand that and feel the need to call me out. You have just fed the troll my friend.
