RebelPride Wrote:You have made several posts referring to the Rebels being "beat down" or blown out. I don't consider a 3 point loss at LexCath, or a last second TD by Danville being blowouts. The only game that the Rebels may have been soundly beaten was the John Hardin game. There is no excuse for the Danville loss, just one of those things that happens in rivalry games.
Sounds kind of like the Mercer game that keeps getting brought up....just one of those things that happen. Not to mention, Beat Down doesn't necessarily correspond with the scoring discrepancy.

If there is something worth mentioning regarding the officiating, then it will be discusses. It is part of the game. So if it's extremely good I'll mention it, and if it's extremely bad I'll mention it. Otherwise, I tend not to say anything.

I told you all the game started at 7 already, which came straight from the AD but feel free to show up later.
Lambert, you're not very self-aware, are you? The only Laker fan who's been overly cocky has been rc58, while you've garunteed a blowout.

No one can guarantee anything in this one, other than at the end of the night, one team will walk away with a win and one will walk away with a loss. I think the fans from both teams will be proud of the way they play.
Just 47 more hours!

Laker20, my friend, if scoring on the last play of the game from 70 yards out is a beat down - we have different definitions.

RC shouldn't be worried at all. Heck, Boyle has lost 4 games this year and RC is undefeated. It's in the bag!

Boyle 31
Russell County 28
Boyle's big game experience is the difference as the Rebs overcome an early deficit to rally for a win in the 4th Quarter.

Norm Peterson Wrote:Boyle County has played a much better schedule and is used to playing in games of this magnitude. Russell County is a very good team but they will not be the best, the fastest, biggest or most physical team that the Rebels have faced all season. Boyle County will be the best team that Russell County has faced. However, the Lakers are at home and this is the biggest game in the history of the program. I think they will be sky high and I think that will carry them for awhile. In the end I think the Rebels schedule and experience will be key in a 35-21 win.
Norm you make some VERY GOOD points people can talk all they want about strength of schudule and rather or not it has an impact on games. I totally agree that when you step into a game having played teams that are good does give a team an advantage IMO. Having played John Hardin and Highlands Boyle Co. kids have stepped on the field with speed, strength, and size similar or greater than Russell Co. IMO this will be by far the best team Russell has played and sometimes it takes a little bit to adjust, BUT Russell is playing at home and I will be pulling for them although I think Boyle wins it.

Since they are expecting a record crowd, would we be able to put chairs up anywhere and still be able to see the game?

There is a section in front of the concessions where several Laker fans put out chairs, but it's usually quite full. I haven't been by the field to see what they've done, but will try to this afternoon if possible.

There's going to be extra seating but the visitor seating be the same as the last couple games with the normal section + band section being open.

Are you saying we're going to have to stand to watch this game because you're not going to have enough seats for the rebel nation. :lame:

Actually, he's saying that we are extending the visitors section by moving our band from their normal seating area to make shift bleachers on the opposite side of the field. Some of our fan's will also be sitting on the opposite side to make additional room.
It's not just the Rebel fans that we need the additional seating for. We expect a record Laker crowd and a number of other spectators.

How many fans do you get for a typical game?

I don't know about Russell.but i would think Boyle will bring a couple thousand people to the game friday maybe more.i would say Boyles attendance for home games when Boyle is playing a good team would be 3 to 4 thousand fans,in the past some of the Danville, and Bell county games have probably drawn 7 to 8 thousand fans.Boyle fans travel well it's not unusual for Boyle to have more fans than the home teams at away games.
