Bell has to be licking there chops after the outcome of the Central/Wayne score,Central will have a wake up call when they roll into log moutain, hope Bell pulls this one out, i think they do, i want to see as possible matchup of Bell/Belfry in the finals..

I'm going to say Bell 22 Central 21 in a slobber knocker. Whatever a slobber knocker is then thats what it'll be.

Log Mountain is a huge advantage for Bell. The key will be whether Bell can find some success throwing the football. Though Larue and Wayne scared the snot out of Central... they neither one exactly lit up the scoreboard. I expect a lot of pad popping and a fast moving, low scoring game.
What the heck...I am hoping for an All-Mountain Finals... lets say:
Bell 15
Central 14
Bell converts a late TD and get the 2 for the win capturing some of that Log Mountain Magic

I thought Central would walk through 3A, but I was wrong. Central does not play with the same spirit as they did in the past.
I say Bell Co 28 Central 20
I say Bell Co 28 Central 20

I figure Central will win but I'm rooting for Bell to pull off the huge upset

Magic of Log Mountain prevails. Bell 14-13.

I am rooting for Bell from Belfry. I love seeing mountain teams do well against the big city schools. Good luck next week Bell hope you pull it off.

2 months ago, i believe 99% of posters on here would have said Central in a blowout.
However, Central has been exposed by some teams. Larue and Wayne gave them everything they wanted, and it makes one think.
I honestly didnt think this Bell team had a chance to make it to the semis, but on log mountain, and knowing this Bell team has improved, ill go with the bobcats.
BC 33
Central 29

I hope for Bell.

I believe if Bell County can finally get the Harlan County game out of their minds and get back their MoJo they can take care of business on Log Mountain in this one. Come on Bell show these city boys a little mountain domination!!! Come on Bell fans, where is YOUR MoJo and support for this team?
BC 28 Central -13
BC 28 Central -13

Pulling for the Bobcats at Log Mountain!!
11-10-2012, 12:36 PM
Central 21
Bell 7
Bell 7

I will say as I have said all year long, Central travels to log mountain and gets beat. Notice I didn't say upset, because it's only an upset if the better team loses and Central isn't the better team in this match up. Get-um Bell!!!! See you at the cross roads in Bowling Green.
11-10-2012, 02:24 PM
I'll take Bell 24 to 21.
11-10-2012, 03:03 PM
Central 28 Bell 20.

I was listening to Central's game while watching Tilghman lose at Monroe. The Wayne broadcasters said central's QB was hurt and left the game. Don't know anything else. Central had to come from behind in the 4th to win this game.

:please:All you mountain folk think it is some great advantage you have there when someone comes there to play. Yeah they have to travel, keep talking. Maybe they will read some of this and get fired up and whip some mountain boy a**. A team is a team, whether it is from the mountains, the valleys, the plains, the cities or whatever. I am soo tired of hearing this lame a** b.s. every year.

Location always holds an advantage..it's never a deciding factor, but it's always a great advantage. Especially to these boys at Bell County, there's a lot of pride with defending this mountain for these boys.

55 is right about some of you mountain folks. There is nothing more magical in the mountains than there is in the city, central KY or western. Some programs, the tradition rich ones usually, make their home field a tuff place and they are scattered across the state

I dont know if your naive or misinformed, but trust me when i say playing on log mountain will give Bell an edge over Central in more ways than one

I was told when i was a young man anytime you go to the mountains of eastern ky to play football that you're down 7 points when you get off the bus.
11-10-2012, 10:29 PM
If you have to come on here for motivation to play a game.........well your heads not in the game then. I'm sure the guys at Central and Bell would look at it and laugh at some of the things being said. We have nothing at Log Mountain other than a pride thing, the kids that play at Log Mountain remember all the other guys that played for years past and this time of year they seem to step it up some. Who knows what it is....But, homefield advantage does come into play.
11-10-2012, 11:11 PM
BellBobCat, thank you. That is exactly our point. It is the program and the belief in that program and system that matters, not what area you are in. The only mountain team that could have an advantage due to their location would be Denver, because of the altitude. I just think it would be a whole lot easier for us guys to pull for you all if you didn't get on here and always start this mountain stuff. It isn't like we like seeing all the Louisville teams winning everything either. They have the majority of our population there and that is why they have all of that talent though. Believe me, there are alot of us that would root for the rural teams but it sounds crazy to get on here every year and tell about the magic of the mountains.
11-10-2012, 11:17 PM
mountain boys aint whupped until they quit and they usually dont quit. Go Bobcats!

mysonis55, I agree with you. I don't like people getting on here from whatever region and saying things like....oh wait till we start smash mouth football, that in itself is a crazy comment. I've heard that from most schools. Football in itself is smash mouth. And the mountains have not any kind of mystery when it comes to football. I for one, have seen teams come from across the state to the mountains and leave with a victory. Sometimes they leave with a lose to....and then they say the mountains got to them...lol. No maybe it was the team they played.....who knows. We'll see friday night when Central comes to Bell how that plays out. I'm sure the team and coaching staff from Louisville Central will be ready to play some football and they are a good team and very well coached.

Well, I don't really have anyone to root for here. I just am like you and think that is crazy talk. I did not realize just how devided our state was until I got on this site. I would just like for the talk to be about how good someone is because of their merits (such as record, defense, offense, who they have beat) and not so much of where they live. I have lived in many states, this is my home though. The thing is, this is the only state where I hear such talk. We are all in the same state and I don't think one side of the state is better than the other, just different.
