The Bell County team that I saw play earlier this year at Coal Miners Memorial Stadium doesn't back down, bow down or run away from anything! Log Mountain is an intimidating place to play a football game; and it should be. I would LOVE to see fan bases at all the high schools in the state have a following that would intimidate the visiting teams!! The kids and coaches are who should be supported, and they should be supported passionately!
As badly as I hate to play on Log Mountain, I have never been in fear of life or health!! LOL
The only thing I would fear would be the competition in fan VOLUME!!
Good luck Bobcats! I think it'll be close, but Bell wins this one by 6!!!

Wayne was better than Bell this season. Wayne couldn't get it done and Bell can't throw the ball as goos as Wayne. Running is tough sleding against Central. I'll take Central 20-6

Do you not remember last year how after the game he continually gloated about Central making us look terrible and stuffing everything we did AFTER the game when he showed respect before? All the while he was gloating about how after last year he wasn't worried about Central because he's got his sons NFL future to look forward to? Ignore this idiot. Anyone whose ever been to a Bell County playoff game, heck even a regular season game, can tell you it's an awesome atmosphere, and from the door greeters, to the concession gals, to the fans who make an effort to say hi to the folks visiting, their is no threat of anything other than some looooud cheering, foot stomping that'll make the stands rock, air horns, and cow bells throughout the night. He's trying to get bulletin board material so Central can walk in with a chip on their shoulder, just ignore him. Everyone in Bell County knows what Central is capable of, and has respect for them. That doesn't mean the boys are going to bow down, back down, and run away from them when the whistle blows to get the game started though. A lot of kids on this team, I know, has been waiting, hoping, striving, and working their hind ends off for this game friday night since last November.Quit hating on coachdad for for expressing free thought that is different from yours !
What do have against coachdads son ???? He hasn't brought up anybody's son on here.

Wayne improved throughout the season but couldn't shake the mistake bug that plagued them all season or they would be traveling to scary log mountain this weekend. Be weary of comparing scores on a game you were handed 3 Tds in the first quarter.

Yes Wayne was a close game and who knows if they met again how that would turn out. A lot of the mistakes Bell made against teams at the beginning of the year aren't happening now. But your right, you can't compare scores. But your wrong also...it was mistakes that wayne made that got them in a hole plus some pretty good defense on Bell's part too. Turn the ball over and you are hurting your chances of winning any game. No one handed 3 touchdowns to Bell in that game, some good defense helped on that one.

If Central plays like they did last week, Bell will win by 10+.

This is cracking me up about Central fans feeling threatened and not wanting to come to Log Mountain.....what is wrong with having a great atmosphere at a high school football game....one thing about mountain football, it's that the towns and counties come out to support their team and that produces the great atmosphere's....the nice people from Bell Co is not going to bite your head off...they are just going to cheer for their team...saying that, Bell wins and the Bobcats make one more step to a date in Bowling Green....good luck to ALL mountain teams and may we have 5 of the 6 classes represented by mountain teams in Bowling Green.

Bell will not be beat at home this year. They have a big group of talented Seniors who will lead this team to a big win. Pulling for the Bobcats.

In two of our three meetings, we've shown a pretty good formula for beating them but faltered or had turnovers down the stretch. Kept pounding and grinding in 2007 but 14 points off turnovers alone (That I can remember) were the difference in a 27-17 loss. Last year we had them on the ropes and perfect touchdown pass (and if you haven't seen it, I mean like 9/10 times incomplete perfect) beat us... part of the game! Just hit them, grind out the yards and the clock, and use your home field ADVANTAGE and good things should happen.

Central typically does not travel with a lot of fans and I do not look for them to bring a large crowd Friday. I do hope nothing happens to make this night memorable other than a great football game.

I agree. The key to beating Central is holding on to the football, taking what they give you, and hitting them with well timed strikes through the air. Defensively you have to make them drive the field and not hit the homerun through the air, or miss a key tackle in space and let their RB break it for a long TD.
The biggest mis-conception about Central is people associate their speed and offense with them being a finesse team and think they can't handle physicality... Central is arguably one of the most hard hitting and physical teams in KY.
I said it before and will say it again, the key against Central is to protect the ball though. No team in KY outside of maybe Trinity is more lethal at quick change points. They play to create turnovers and when they do there is a good chance they are housing it.

Central is a very physical team, but our mountains pride off of hitting for four quarters. Eventually when you don't play that alot, it works to your favor. Discipline is a huge thing with Central, as you stated. One missed assignment, or tackle, and it's 6. Anyone got an update on Taeshawn Gibbs?

But the game that I watched showed a Bell Co defense completely shut down the Wayne Co offense, and a Bell Co offense that jumped up early and just ran the ball all night long.. Bell was clearly the better team on the field that night !

Im not sure what game you were watching maybe you got it mixed up with McCreary. Bell has 125 TOTAL yards. You had 37 yards passing and your qb got sacked another 4 times. Polly didn't get 100 and Collett 15 was no existant. Seems to me thats hardly running the ball all night. Wayne's Qb was injured and could not run which is a large part of Wayne's offense. It would be sorta like Polly not being able to run for you guys. Yea you jumped up early off of self inflicted wounds by Wayne. Considering that Wayne drove the ball into your red zone 4 times and Bell struggled to even get to the 50 tells me that you were not in fact the better team. I will say this you did win but like I said not the better team.

The most threatening thing about the trip fans from the ville will have to worry about is the deer , they're bad this time of the year and they will jump out right infront of you and also park at the middle school across the street and walk over the overpass cause if you don't you'll have to park on a huge mountain by the interstate , dodge cars passing you by about 80 mph just to walk up another hill to get to the parking at the school , damn do i hate going to a big game up there.
Not seen Central and not gonna act like i know anything about em but Bell is HUGE on the Oline real tough and physical and really like to get out and smash you in the mouth running the football and can throw the football but chooses not to , like last week on 1st and 2nd down the DB for LaRue County would cheat and leave his receiver and head toward the line as soon as the ball was snapped but the Bell's coach never picked up on it and it was there all game long on 1st and 2nd downs.

I think it'll be a good game, but I've gotta say, I think the Bobcats will come out on top. The one thing that's going to come back to get them is if they start out slow like they did against Larue and Harlan County. On the other hand, I think Log Mountain is going to be a big advantage for Bell County. My score prediction is Bell 21 Central 17. My biggest suggestion: DON'T PLAY POLLY ON DEFENSE! He's one of the strongest offensive links Bell has, and wearing him out on defense does them no good. Point proven last week on Log Mountain against Larue. Whenever he would sit out during defense, he'd come back and make a big run on offense. GO BOBCATS!!!!
