So much for video not existing.
Just putting it here for those that wanted to see it. Have fun, don't break the rules.
Other threads have already been closed as to not take away from those threads. And believe that this one will be watched closely by everyone on the staff I'm sure.

This is available on youtube, so its no big deal that anyone here sees it because you could there.
However, if it ends up like the "No Class Pike Central" thread, we will just close this one as well.
Feel free to discuss, but dont be stupid.

As for what im seeing, shame on both schools.
I dont care who started it, but you can clearly see the parent, all 20 of them on the other side of the field cheering, and even though you cant see them, the Breathitt fans were as well.
Could have been resolved by the refs breaking up the first scuffle, but they werent quick enough.
And hitting your own head with a helmet. Not smart.
However, i didnt see half the stuff that was being talked about in the other thread, and i never saw anyone being held down and beaten. It could have been off the camera or whatever, but this is far from the worst brawl ever.
Video never lies.

After hearing the stories about how this went down I expected more. Both staffs got their kids out quickly, emotions always run high when someone's going home.
11-22-2012, 09:13 AM
I watched the video several times and the following stands out to me:
1) I don't know the cause of the fight, but fighting shouldn't happen. It isn't the officials fought.
2) Breathitt coaches did a better job of keeping the situation under control. The entire Pike Central bench left the sidelines, while the Breathitt staff keep the bench in their bench area.
3) Seeing fans cheering on fights during an athletic contest is very sad. These are kids playing a game. These games will not change their lives, but we act like on Friday nights the players have professional football opportunities.
I wish games can be played with coaches being better role models and leaders.

Just from my view point I see the ref break up the start of the fight that appears to be a PCC lineman get a BC player down and punch him several times. What I think escalates the fight is 82 from BC who appears to come off the bench and start punching PCC player.I think thats him who gets walked off the field hurt at the end.Had he stayed on the sideline PCC bench would not have cleared thats when they came onto the field and whiped him. Any law enforcement could not press charges since he came onto the field and was throwing punches first. PCC started it and BC made it worse than it had to be.
11-22-2012, 09:45 AM
Also PCC coaches were on the field breaking up the fight. They did not just let the kids fight even though PCC bench left the sideline it was in reaction to 82s action who made the fight worse.
11-22-2012, 10:01 AM
after they had got the fight broke up, and PCC defense came back on the field, one of the boys has hitting him self in the head with his own helmet, and a couple of PCC players was out there talking smack to BC sideline, from the video i cant tell if anyone from BC was saying anything to them, but either way, none of that was called for, and anyone involved, should have missed the next couple GAMES,not just one,EVEN if it went into next yr...

Well, after reading the entire other thread and now watching the tape. Things where not related to the thread as what is on the tape. Clearly #65 of PCC started a fight, but Breathitt was made out to be all innocent of any wrong doing in the other thread IMO. #81 or 82, could not make out to plain, was one of main factors into fight becoming worse. I did not see anyone holding a player down while another player hit with his helmet. (could have been out of view). PCC coaches tried to contain the players best they could IMO. I wouldn't have went running out there either, but would have walked just as they did, to keep it as calm as I could. I Thought the Breathitt coaches did a good job of containing as they could. The game probably would have been finished if PCC players just stayed on sideline and not came back on field taunting Breathitt, by beating theirselves in head with own helmet.:dontthink. So, as a fan of neither team with an equal dislike for both, both honestly had fault and where far from innocent.

Looks like the Pike Central lineman started it on the right side by punching the kids when he was down, was he provoked I don't know. Either way, this is ridiculous and is embarrassing for players, and coaches involved.
11-22-2012, 01:05 PM
Well, from what I see the guard on the right side for PCC gets the Breahitt kid down and beats him. They Breathitt kid could've done something, but still. He beat him while he was down. And then here comes the #81 or something (from Breathitt who by many stories supposedly did nothing) knocks a PCC player off his feet. And then that started a little brawl. I couldn't see the #83 Breathitt kid where he got held down and beat but I did see him getting carried off.
But here is my tale on why PCC was getting called classless other than the fight. Both teams got to their sidelines quickly, but PCC players came back out on the field and starting waving there hands at Breathitt. And #7 beat himself with his helmet. And PCC were going crazy and cheering. Wasn't the game a blow out at this time? I mean why do that? I understand the kids are running high on emotions but that's not a way to go out.
But my final take is, there was stupidity on both sides and the refs did the right thing by calling the game.

Its amazing how much stories change.

I never saw a kid being beaten with a helmet. There was a Breathitt player being helped off the field. He was off screen then appears with th trainers helping so maybe that is where it happened. I don't think the PCC coaching staff enabled the situation they just didn't react as quickly as the Breathitt coaching staff

Its funny how this video just seems to surface after Breathitt Co was beaten out of the playoffs!!!!! Looks a lot like one of the teams game videos, thought the breaker blew in the pressbox or both teams quit filming in the 4th quarter because it was such a blowout????? Just hope the KHSAA gets a look at this video.....

Big kid came off the PCC sideline and swung his helmet. I don't know what else happened on that end of field in that it was cut off. Kid should be suspended a minimum of five games for swinging his helmet. Being hit with a helmet could seriously injure or kill somebody. If somebody were hit and injured the kid swinging the helmet should be prosecuted. Other than the taunting at the end it looked like the coaches did a good job of managing a bad situation. The kid hitting himself with his helmet was the first one to the sideline when the altercation was going on.

:thatsfunn I just watched it again. Yea #7 for PCC hitting himself was the only one he hit. I'm honestly not laughing at situation, just the fact that he was only hitting himself.

This brings up an interesting question. Whose video was it? It seems to be filmed on a tripod and if not an official video from either team, then who? A parent?

Brawl????
This was hardly more than a scuffle.
Shame on the parents for cheering, to me this was the most disturbing part of the video.
And shame on the parents/kids for getting on here and blowing things way out of proportion before the video came out.

Definitely filmed from a tripod. Good question as to who filmed it. It was definitely filmed on Breathitt side.

Nothing more than that is needed.
Plenty of fans from plenty of schools film games for their own enjoyment.

I have no problem with it being filmed by a fan. I see it all the time. But, I think the bigger question is why did it take so long to come out. I searched high an low on the net and could not find it anywhere. Now, over 2 weeks later it surfaces. That is the head scratcher IMO. I do appreciate you putting it out here and think it should have been shown. That way everyone can't make rash judgement calls and assumptions off of hearsay. After watching it, I now know the truth.

Did 7 from PCC give himself a concussion? Those were some
Nice self inflicted blows.

The location of the camera is high in the stands, maybe even in the press box. I have seen film from the press box and it looks very similar.

I hate sore losers and that's what we saw on the tape. It was a brawl started by PCC and the officials did the right thing in stopping the game. There was however, no holding down a player and hitting him with a helmet. I saw a couple of classless players on both sides. It was blown out of proportion and I believe most of us on here were misled. I think both teams got what they deserved in the end. Now, let's get back to some real football.
11-23-2012, 10:19 AM
If you watch #83 closely you can see 2 PCC players get ahold of him and another swinging his helmet and hitting him just as the bar takes it out of view.
And to those that said PCC coaches did nothing, shame on you. Looks to me like they all came out and got their players off the field as quickly as possible.
I think coaches from both teams done a good job of breaking this up as quickly as they did.

You didn't see him hitting Cox(83) who was the one being helped off the field because it was out of the shot of the main brawl. It was at the main top left of what the camera captured.#7 was the one hitting him with his helmet while another player held him down. And ;yes;#81 for us was the only one "throwing punches" and was suspended and sat against Belfry. You can PLAINLY se our coaches trying to hold our kids to our sideline.

Try to listen to the audio;it is clearly the father of a PCC player. At the end he even says how his son "Dakota" was wanting to go out and eat with his friends this weekend but now he would not be allowed to after the way he acted on the field.Sounds like he at least has a smart father.I'm assuming that #7 is Dakota since in the play where the brawl started that he says Dakota the ball carrier.

The majority of PCC fans was on the "Breathitt" side in one section. It was a PCC fan's video.Listen to the audio and it says alot.

Actually it was not #7 that was hitting Cox with his helmet;I misspoke. But if you will watch #83 the whole time;at the top of the PCC 45 yardline you can see the first helmet being swung at him the his is dragged off the field. My apology #7.
