TheRealVille Wrote:Newsmax: A compass for conservative politics.Considering its source, that is a pretty balanced article, RV. It is not at all the hit piece that the title suggests that it might be. I had not realized that the owner of Newsmax had praised Bill Clinton's presidency so much - but so have I. Compared to Jimmy Carter and Barack Obama, Clinton's presidency looks much better than it actually was. Obama even makes the Carter years look good in comparison.

The fact that noted author Bob Woodward is the one making the charge must have escaped you. "Bob Woodward is an award-winning reporter and writer, the author of more than a dozen books about Washington and politics, who became famous because of the Watergate scandal â shorthand for the revealed abuses of power by the Nixon White House, including illegal wiretapping, burglaries and money laundering."

Well, so much for freedom of the press and America's right to freedom of speech as guaranteed in the first amendment.
"Newspaper editor and book author Bob Woodward said on Wednesday that a senior White House official threatened him for suggesting the President was at fault for the sequestration crisis.
Woodward said a "very senior" White House official warned him in an email that he would “regret doing this” — referring to the legendary journalist's criticisms of the Obama administration over its actions regarding the upcoming sequester."

I realize there are those on here who resent the citing of any news source which does not adequately peg the left-O-meter but, IF and when other media sources actually start reporting news, I will then be able to use them. Meanwhile it's pretty obvious by this that there are the favored media lap dogs and, the outcast 'non endorsed' media by the state.
“It was said very clearly, ‘You will regret doing this,’” Woodward told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer Wednesday night, who then asked him who sent the email. “I’m not going to say. It was a very senior person.

"But then Burr asked about the president’s statement during the presidential debate, that the Republicans originated it. Lew, being a good lawyer and a loyal presidential adviser, then shifted to denial mode: “Senator, the demand for an enforcement mechanism was not something that the administration was pushing at that moment.”
That statement was not accurate." In plain English Lew lied.

I mean, I wondered if folks would ever wake up or not. I hope democratic accountability will finally become part of the equation. And might I add, even though in no way does this eclipse the Benghazi scandals, it is a huge matter none the less.

Those of you who work your FICA went up 2% on Jan 1. So your budget this year was cut by 2%. Have you experienced gloom and doom as a result? Have you noticed?
The Sequestration is going to cut the federal budget by 2.4% and the world is going to end. The jails had to be emptied, our military will not be able to help us, National Parks will close, police and firemen will be fired, cats and dogs will be living together........Oh the Humanity.

That's a tragic loss of $1040 a year you could have spent on a three day weekend watching the Super Bowl champs lose to the Bengals in Cincinnati this fall. With dollars left over to splurge on a good UK football matchup :flush:

RunItUpTheGut Wrote:Herman Cain today...."Two words can sum up that pitiful mans speech on sequestration....NOTHING NEW."Obama does not worry about anybody but himself, his family, celebrities, and other people who can do something for him. His plan to push additional tax hikes through is to take federal employees hostage as he and the media blame Republicans for their furloughs (or threatened furloughs). Furloughs would allow his SEU thugs time off to harass Congressional Republicans. If Republicans do not fold like a cheap card table to his threats, expect plenty of photo-ops for Obama's minions explaining how Republicans are starving their children.

I don't know that he is even capable of telling the truth at this point. You know, teachers will be tossed out in the streets, firemen and policemen along with them, parents will be scramblling to find emergency child care, military will not get paid, aircraft carriers will remain moored at Pearl, poor folks will suffer, and on and on. Three days ago our new Sec of State, gave Syrian rebels 60 million dollars, that on the heels of the Muslim Bro'hood getting 1.2 billion. Voters are going to have to learn to watch what he does and not listen to what he says. They're not often the same. For instance, the suppossed 85 billion in automatic cuts for this year are in reality 44 billion.
EXCERPT ---
"The first thing to note is that the $85 billion figure that gets bandied about overstates this year's cuts due to sequestration by about $40 billion. According to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) in its February 2013 report on the budget outlook"

40 or even 80 billion dollars of waste could have easily been found by leadership in congress (and your mealy mouthed President) that would have avoided this whole mess. Instead, they chose to take many Americans on a ride of demagoguery. Some of you are still riding...riding on the back of rhetoric with blinders on.
Even you see through the spiteful deceit spewing from the mouth of our defensive, non-governing Blamer in Chief. You just don't have the gonads to admit it. It is laughable that you give the Blamer and top democrats a pass on this.
IMO there was no leadership displayed by any of them.
REAL leadership always gets results. I cannot dig up one instance of the Blamer displaying REAL leadership through this process, can you?

Boehner said that, because the republicans finally made Obama blink instead of the other way around and, he was happy, as he should be, about the outcome. It was high time the congress put the divider-in-chief's rhetoric to the test. The whole sequester deal was a manuver by this president to paint republicans into another corner so he could again raise taxes. The plan was to employ his favorite tactic of cranking up the old smear machine in an effort to cerment the democratically fabricated image, that makes the republicans appear to not care about the poor and the teachers and the military and the police and the ad-nauseum. He knows he can count on the liberal loons running the media to back him up and people like you to bite on it. And why not? It's worked with ObamaCare, the 3 year long and counting Harry Reid led congressional gridlock, the failed stimulus, Fast and Furious, the Benghazi scandals, the presidential debates (2 and 3), and now the sequester which was preceeded by turning thousands of prisoners loose on the streets. You're fine with that too right?
And yeah, as long as I get fed a steady diet of lies, distortions and smoke blown up my drawers, I'll be complaining about it. And, it won't matter which party is the offender either. Unlike you, I prefer not to be lied to. And taxed into the poor house.

Showing the same genius as was exhibited by the release of illegals from prison to once again resume their preditory pursuits, Obama is again desperately seeking out ways to cut off his nose to spite his face.
EXCERPT ---
The Obama White House is cutting $65 billion in the sequester, but it could easily leave or torch 750,000 pieces of major military hardware — worth $36 billion — in Afghanistan after U.S. troops pull out by the end of next year. Here are the options, according to Face the Facts USA of the George Washington University: Leave the equipment — or destroy it — in Afghanistan; move it to other U.S. military outposts; or transfer it to another U.S. agency or to another country.

First, you start off busting me over my thread starter source and then you come back at me with something from the NY Times. So now, you didn't serve and therefore are merely repeating something you may have heard or read, although in your case I doubt either of those even happened. Second, I'll take your interpretation of two faced over how you look any day. Taxpayers are screaming about America giving 1.5 billion dollars worth of military aid in the form of equipment, such as 200 Abrams A1M1 tanks and between 16 and 20 state of the art F16's, and money to known terrorist and now Egyptian leader and Muslim Brotherhood Jihadist, Mohamed Morsi. Now we find out that several days after the sequester goes into effect, John Kerry goes over there with a fist full of borrowed money in lieu of a valid foreign policy, and ups the ante another 250 million because Morsi said he'll play all nicey nicey for a while. Seriously, I don't know who's the most naive. Is it Pelosi or Kerry?
So now, we're poised to leave 36 BILLION in equipment to the terrorists and the buzzards, supposedly for want of the 5 or 6 billion they say it would take to ship the stuff back home, or redeploy it. Sparkling logic boys . By the time these morons get through with their amature hour liberal follies, I suppose we will be lucky to afford enough gas to get home.
I mean, anybody knows, the answer to filling the financial void created by Obama's sequester, is a federally sponsored nation wide jailbreak. Still speaking of how people look, is it even possible to appear any more assinine than Janet Napolitano? Her department is the last rung on the ladder in the chain of command of which ICE is part. ICE has released somewhere between 1,000 and 2,000 thugs out onto the streets (Janet says it's ONLY several hundred) to terrorize the very folks she is sworn to protect. HOMELAND SECURITY, now I know I didn't take one of those on-line intelligence tests like you did, but, I can come to a basic awareness of what her office is responsible for and it sure ain't turning big and little criminals loose to wreak havoc on the homeland. And, to cap all this off, which amounts to subversive, state sponsored guerilla warfare on it's own citizens, supposedly nobody knows who gave the order to release these vermin. To me, those are some examples of how one can make him/herself look two faced.

The Washington Post exposed Mr Obama's master plan in an opt-ed on March 2nd, since the GOP is in the way right now, he has his sights set on 2014.
EXCERPT --- "The goal is to flip the Republican-held House back to Democratic control, allowing Obama to push forward with a progressive agenda on gun control, immigration, climate change and the economy during his final two years in office, according to congressional Democrats, strategists and others familiar with Obama’s thinking."
Folks, this is a must read article LINK --- http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/s...story.html
Bill O'Reilly said last night that Obama seems willing to spend the United States to ruin so that later, (after 2014) the far left can reshape the nation. He also said Obama is unwilling to do anything at all to deal with our complex fiscal problems. "It's almost as if Obama is willing to let the people suffer for the next two years so that the far left can then come in and save them." His hope is to get the people all fired up and ready to blame republicans for everything from the sequester to long lines at the airport. If the past is any indicator, I have to admit Obama has better than a 50/50 chance of doing just that. The live for today crowd in this country will seemingly swallow anything he says. I heard the sequester plan come out of his own mouth and, I heard him blame the sequester on the republicans from that same mouth. Now, in self fulfilling prophesy, we see him threatening all manner of ill as the result of the sequester will befall the people. Same mouth BTW

I hear ya. And yet, if you're a liberal you're over the moon right now with the advances that have been made in the area of social justice. I mean, just try googling the liberal agenda and see what pops up. It reads like the collective works of Barack Obama.
To a liberal, this time of suffering is what Obama referred to during his run up to the White House as the "fudamental transformation" of America. And, to the liberal, the end justifies the means. I mean God dissolved Sodom and Gomorrah without a trace for just one little part of the liberal agenda, that of homosexuality. Which is rampant in our day by the way. That and the incredibly hellish sin of abortion on demand, where the first taste of the outside world for sweetest and most defenseless among us are the sadist cutting tools with which they are cut into pieces and later thrown into an incinerator by monsters who call themselves doctors. LOL, we make King Herod look like Mother Teresa. Oh, but you let baby seals get bludgeoned by heartless fur traders and we mobilize the troops with choler! Or if we crank out too much CO2 at a electrical generating station, (in the eyes of the green gestapo), it's lights out!
Frankly, I think a lot of what goes on is Satanic. We live in a nation that suddenly finds itself defending and preserving homosexual rights while pouring gas on the fires of civil unrest. We are tolerant to a fault for anything and everything EXCEPT God's sovereignty. We have reaped the wind and we will reap the whirlwind. America will turn or burn, to me it's that simple. And, it will happen first in the church and then at the voting booth.
