That sounds good, I dont think I know him, is he the starting TB, if he is that fast I thought I would have seen him running the ball like the RBs in the past.

For that program to be as strong as its been over the past 25 years is amazing.
There is no major city in Rockcastle County. Little Mount Vernon and Livingston are far from decent size towns, and yet the talent has always been good there. Theyve competed and beaten schools in Pulaski, Laurel, and Whitley County for years, and theyll get there mojo back.
Thats a good sports county.
That is an awful nice thing to say. It is hard for a little school to compete with the bigger teams every year. If you look at the numbers on Rock's roster and other teams like Highlands in 4A you would be amazed we could ever win a game. I remember in the early 2000's we beat Highlands one year, and that is amazing for a little school like Rock. We never could get over the Danville/Boyle Co hump when we had our best teams to date---I guess that is the way it goes. I don't know if a state title will ever be in the cards, but every year is exciting until we get put out in the playoffs (the 2-9 years like last year are hard to stomach though). I think in a couple years we will have a real good team again, the problem is it looks like everybody in eastern kentucky will be good then also. I guess you got to earn the title if you get one, that is what makes it so special.

papagrit,
Is Rock planning on running the spread offense? I have heard rumor that Parkey is a fan of the spread.

I didn't actually see a spread offense during the red blue scrimmage. There was a considerable amount of passing attempts though, but, from what I remember there were usually backs in the backfield. I paid more attention to line play than watching the plays develop...I'm a lineman forever I suppose.

Just lifting weights I think. Practice usually starts mid July sometime. They host a lineman camp in the summer before practices start and about the time the specialists are doing 7 on 7.

anyone getting close to any records in the weight room

This team has allot of returning talent. Key factor that many is not considering is the linemen they lost. Linemen dont get as much credit as backs but the linemen will be the diffrence in this team. It could make or break them.

Rock is 17 and 0 all-time versus Madison Southern, and Madison Southern DID NOT drop Rockcastle in the late 90's, they didn't play from 2000 to 2004, picked back up in 2005 and played until 2009 and hopefully pick back up.
