If you can't prove a majority of Americans favor gay marriage I should call you a liar...but I won't.
As has been demonstrated with the plethora of Mother Jonesesque posts/links of late. It isn't what they can prove, it's the way they sling the mud.

You have to go by polls, since that's the only way to get an idea of how America feels, or you get people like TRT, that just pull an answer out of their ass.

Quote:More Americans See Gay, Lesbian Orientation as Birth Factor.
PRINCETON, NJ -- Currently, 47% of Americans view being gay or lesbian as a sexual orientation individuals are born with, while 33% instead believe it is due to external factors such as upbringing or environment. That 14-percentage-point gap in favor of "nature" over "nurture" is the largest Gallup has measured to date. As recently as two years ago, the public was evenly divided

Quote:Parents sue South Carolina for surgically making child female
(CNN) -- The adoptive parents of a child born with male and female organs say South Carolina mutilated their son by choosing a gender and having his male genitalia surgically removed.
The surgery took place when the child was 16 months old and a ward of the state, according to a lawsuit filed by the parents against three doctors and several members of the South Carolina Department of Social Services.
The child's biological mother was deemed unfit, and the biological father had apparently abandoned him, according to the suit. So others made the decision.
The child, now 8 years old, feels more like a boy and "wants to be a normal boy," said Pamela Crawford, the boy's adoptive mother.
"It's become more and more difficult, just as his identity has become more clearly male, the idea that mutilation was done to him had become more and more real," she said in a video released by the Southern Poverty Law Center, which is assisting in the case.
"There was no medical reason that this decision had to be made at this time."

Southern Poverty Law Center. Now there is a real subversive group of malcontents. As an attorney, I am quite familiar with the destruction to the United States Constitution perpetrated by that strange group of oddballs and misfits.

I know it's not fashionable anymore to think for one's self. However, that is the course I will take regardless of your protests and whining. At least George W is getting a rest while you're obsessed with my opinions.
So, as we see by your post, you must adopt the ideas of others (polls) to feel comfortable. In other words, like I have said, your opinion was given to you and is perpetuated by others. Hence, like Samuel Goldwyn likes to say, "When I want your opinion, I'll give it to you."

It's been 5 years since CA voted on it, and a majority of CA citizens say they wish they had voted the other way on Prop 8. You will find, as more and more polls come out, that in fact a majority of Americans favor same sex marriage. You have to have polls to find where America is leaning on topics, because you can't get a grasp of all of America by just talking to folks in KY. A blind man can see where this is going.

RV, IMO, you've been willingly propagandized by the left. You share a kind of contempt with them for what is considered to be traditional American values. Those values are based in scripture which, you reject. You've therefore spent the last how ever many years, with "itching ears", soaking up the left wing's secular humanistic rationale. That is your choice and your right and I'm fine with it. But, your insistence that the left's principles and liberalisms are mainstream is just not true.
In fact, I went to the trouble to demonstrate the liberal strategy, to dupe folks into thinking the fight to retain any semblance of Christian principles is over and that resistance to their teachings by the American masses was futile. That is to say they have declared victory before having achieved anything like it, and what they are waging is a propaganda campaign to that end. And, although it was entirely predictable (if very unfortunate), the strategy has worked on folks like you.
On the other hand, we have organizations like the Tea Party and other conservative efforts who counter the liberal message. Despite claims to the contrary, these 'counter efforts' are always legal, and respectful of all laws, carried out with respect and observance of the rights of local residents where events and rallies are held.
Reasonable people know that hitting that Google button, and happening to find a biased website which states that the majority favors gay marriage is far short of proof. Next time you're at the store or someplace not surrounded by your crew, ask somebody that doesn't have more than 10 body piercings and doesn't have any needle tracks in their arm if they're for gay marriage. I know for a fact, that the majority of Americans are not in favor of gay rights. Lawmakers and wannabe's are making some real political hay with running on those issues now, but, only in some very blue states. Let some hack come out in a red state and try that and see how far they get.

That is a county by county map of the presidential election results of 2012. The function of the Electoral College and the opinion of the overall populace are about as far apart as is possible. No amount of evidence would change your mind because you are 'willfully ignorant' of the truth. The map is a factual representation of where the concentrations of people who think like you do live. At any rate, nothing that contradicts your view is going to get past that liberal filter so, I expected nothing less than total denial on your part.

Like I said, a county by county map means nothing, if the population numbers don't match. You would do well to learn that a less populated red area doesn't compare to a more populated blue area. Give us a rundown of the popular votes of that election that you are so fond of showing that map from. Ahh hell, i'll do it for you, to stop you from twisting it. 65,910,437 to 60,932,795. I'm seriously beginning to wonder if you think others are too stupid to catch you in your lies, or you are stupid enough to believe your own lies.

Reading your posts reminds me of a girl fighting with somebody on FB. Circular psychosis. You got three of four things you like to harp on and you never stray far from the reservation. Obviously I represent your greatest threat and therefore the obsessive compulsive bashing all the time. And, this idea you harbor in thinking so many line up with you on here is ludacris. Always speaking as if hundreds of admirers are enthralled with the magic of your wit. LOL, I must be missing something cause I ain't seeing it.

My problem with you is the way you misrepresent facts, and that 2012 popular vote map from the Presidential election is proof positive. That has zero to do with your answer of "the majority of America isn't in favor of gay marriage". You are dishonest in just about every point you try to make on this board. My disdain comes from the fact that you try to portray that your knowledge is way above others here, when you clearly don't have a clue on what you speak, other than your own opinion, and misrepresentation of facts.

I wouldn't say he's been the most productive President, but I give him slack on that because republican in Washington block every move he tries. Except for the IRS deal, a lot of the other stuff is "mole hills". He is as mad about the IRS as you are, and the appropriate actions are being taken.
