Betsy Layne may surprise you a little. Not a bad little team. Betsy Layne will give Pburg a game this season and Breathitt supposedly were about even with the Blackcats in their scrimmage. If Breathitt doesn't dominate the scrimmage I wouldn't look into it too hard

How did this scrimmage pan out?

Breathitt won 28 to 22. Couple wideouts missed tying catches in the endzone. Betsy Layne played horrible. Should have won in my opinion.

Score was 22 to 6 and bhs started playing some of their jv players early in the 3rd quarter. If they would have kept playing their starters it wouldn't have been 28 22.

Not taking any thing away from Betsy Lane, but Breathitt must have played awful, or Betsy Lane is better than expected. Does anyone have any details?

Breathitt played well. Like I said started subbing early n 3rd quarter. The score was 22-6. Betsy lane scored with a lot of jv players in

No they scored on varsity. I'm hundred percent positive unless he started subs at front if the game. Betsy Layne would have won if they played 4 quarters.

Only thing I don't like about this site is how honesty gets bent. The 4th quarter was for subs.

score was 20 to 6 at end of 1st then BL woke up...with BL out scoring BHS 14 to 8 in next 2 qtrs. the 4th qtr was jv only...0 to 0...Final was 28 to 20 Breathitt on top.

Yea the 4th quar was for jv only but starters didn't play hardly any of the 3rd quarter. Watch the film nothing has been distorted. Crazy! Scrimmage anyway.

I got the joy to take this one in. The way I understood the format, the varsity played 3 quarters and the underclassmen played the 4th. After the first quarter, Betsy Layne made adjustments and settled down nicely. Betsy Layne is a much improved team. Breathitt seem to have 60 kids. It was playoff atmosphere at the end of the 3rd quarter. Great job by both Bobcats! Good Luck rest of the season. The wide receiver from Breathitt is great!
