1-3-1 Press isnt a Whitley fan.

If that was directed at me, then nope, Im harlan county born and raised.

Whitley County plays Bell next week and you're spending all your energy trying to torment the Belfry faithful? You could be having so much more fun with the Bell fans. You are missing a golden opportunity my friend.

RIUTG ain't from Harlan County.
I'm a Harlan fan and have talked to many many Harlan fans and most believe IF we show up ready to play that it will be a 2-4 TD win but we will see! That's why they play the game!
Harlan County is in their 6th year of playing. It took belfry until the 2000's to start tradition.

I just feel like when tradition rich schools talk about Harlan County they know the Black Bears are good and having no tradition is the only argument they have to get at them.
Bears have done pretty well in their short time.
This thread is hilarious and it's meant for fun, trash talking, bragging, whatever else you want to call it, but come Friday night we are all just screaming fans that will let the players do the talking on both sides. I do want to welcome pirate fans to HC's new field, wish you a safe travel, and wish your team an injury free game..Now that the pleasantries are done, Go Black Bears and good luck Belfry with this Filthy Animal Defense because it is Filthy Confusednicker:
When Coach Haywood and Coach Larkey meet at center field Friday there will be nearly 600 football games won between the two. This game will be the epitomy of what mountain football is all about and we in Harlan County are thrilled to be hosting. It's early in the season and will be a great test for both teams. That being said, the Black Bears will be prepared.

I absolutely LOVE what Harlan County is doing and wish them nothing but the best. No cheap shots from here I am just looking for a great game and i hope the Pirates can hang with the Black Bears who are an obvious favorite.

You are way off on your comment about Belfry's tradition. Belfry has been playing good football for a long time, and really good football since the mid 80s. Coach Haywood came to Belfry in 1984 and his coaching record from 1984-2012 (29 years) 290-93, a little over 75% winning pct and 10 wins per season.

Records are not available due to a school fire for their first 23 years or so of football, but since 1949 Belfry has won a little over 500 games on the gridiron.

Not a bad tradition if you ask me, and it goes back a little bit further than 2000's.
bear claw Wrote:Well GUT you have done it again. You being from Whitley and you hate Harlan County, you have successfully done what you wanted to do. You have trashed talked enough to make all the Belfry fans think that you represent all Harlan County and you don't. Nobody from Harlan County believes that this will be a blow out. This will be a knock down drag out slug fest between two great teams and programs. I know this site is all about having fun and trash talking but you my friend need to spend time on your beloved Whitley County threads and quit trolling. Now about this game. I believe this will be a game for the ages. I believe it will be a low scoring game. I am going to go with Harlan County 21 Belfry 14. To the Pirate faithful, I hope you all have a safe trip over. And here is to an injury free game.

Im Harlan County born and raised.
Me and Raylan Givens use to play ball at Cawood back in the day. Is he still around?

Dont worry, I know your new to the area but all the old faithful blackbear fans such as myself knows this will be a huge blowout.

Ok of course the fans will say that....and our fans are sayin Harlan ain't 2-4 touchdown better if we show up to play....this will be a close game if both teams show up and play ball..

Trolling or not trolling, HC will destroy Belfry.

Mark it down.
I never thought I'd see the day in a ground and pound game that Belfry would be the faster of the two.

As for TakeItUpTheButt or w/e, that should be an offense resulting in banning. Completely ruins the fun of "light hearted trash talk" and tries to get people to hate a school he has no affiliation to. That's pathetic.

If we're going by wins, win loss record Harlan County has a pretty good tradition as well. I am in no way taking anything away from Belfry. Which brings up the question do you have to win a championship to have a storied tradition?
I'll meet you at the concession stand and talk trash to your face, and make you like it!!!! By the way, concession stands on the visitors side is in phase 2 of our building project. The only one at the field now is located under the home seating.

I started the season in my "Deep Dark Hills" T-shirt. We won by a landslide. Wore it again last week; same story. I'm not changing my underwear from here on out; let alone my T-shirt!!

Why are you asking for dirty PMs??????????

Granny have you heard when they will be starting the work to complete everything?
Phase 2 was supposed to be completed by the end of 2015. By the way, that does not include concession stands on the visitor's side; I just got excited when I said that!! Smile

To my understanding, visitor's locker rooms is the next thing to be completed, then the adjoining concessions and restrooms.

Wow that's Tradition! Just kidding!!!! Just having fun!

Gut you really have too much time on your hands.

I'm expecting a good game with the Black Bears pulling away in the 2nd half.

One thing I don't understand is why it would be and upset if Belfry wins (Which I don't think will happen). They are #2 in the Mountain Top 10.

I figure the top 3 will stay the same the whole year.
