Breathitt has the ability to be an efficient team when they make the right decisions and play smart. There is some talent there.

Congrats Dawgs. Still 2 or 3 teams on the schedule that maybe problematic but winnable. Not sure Belfry is winnable but I don't think it will be a lack of effort.

Sorry but Breathitt lost all talent last year. Well most of it anyway! They had about 18 seniors and most of them started. This is a rebuilding year for Breathitt untelling when they'll have another good team. Just wish we had this coaching staff with last years team we'd probably won state Oh well!:thanks:

These young Bulldogs play with alot of intensity. Win or lose they make sure the other team realize they're in the game.

Good game. Seemed like BC was a little 1 dimensional having good success with the passing game. Not sure why defense didn't adjust to the numerous passes on the out route. Lc run defense looked solid and may be the reason BC was forced to the air. LC defense has got to set the tone early. The Mosely kid on offense is very impressive. Game was closer than score. IMO the game sealer was the 4th down sack in the 4th quarter when it was a 1 score game. The defense has to have this mindset on the opening kickoff.

We don't have a big time RB so we are one dimensional.We were not "forced" to the air;that is our game.Look at our new coach.He was one of the best passing Q.B.s in the state so we will pass.Our D was terrible.

Hey; I am Breathitt's #1 fan and I have watched alot of games over the last 25 years since I was there myself and I am saying right now sadly that we may not win another game the rest of the year and the next few years look worse.We have NO feeder program.That is where all of our success was created and thanks to politics it could be over for Breathitt football.When teams play us and win this year they need to realize you may have not been able to beat us before but this year we are not good so don't consider it a big deal when you do.

Compare last years schedule to this year schedule. Last year the only teams until playoffs that were any good was somerset and hazard neither one compare to bourbon or lawerence county for that matter. And, hazard team is better this year than last year. Breathitt had a ton of turnovers against Bourbon county and last night the defense didn't play well at all. Offense probably had 400 yards don't know exact stats but close to it. I've watched breathitt football for many years as well but I also know that final judgment doesn't come to the end of the season. Last year everybody had them hyped up and looked what happened against belfry.

Both Somerset and Hazard are better than LC in my opinion. Breathitt is just bad in 2013.

I can't disagree with you but you have to factor in the inexperience with this team. They have room to grow and they have played well at times during the last two games.

Lc is a lot better team than hazard or somerset you all watch to much sports overtime on wymt they blow up the hometown team and the teams in that area harland #1 what a joke that was. Lc defense had not faced a passing team all year breahitt came firing lc made the adjustments late in the second quarter and pretty much shut them down after that. Putting aj in as another safety changed the game. The left side corner #5 for lc is probably the best cover corner in eastern ky several times breahitts qb was looking for #9 on that side but 5 had him covered they couldn't run the ball the only thing left was pass it right that made it predicatable for lc.

Ran the ball the entire 3rd quarter. And #19 had more passes thrown to him than any player didn't catch all of them but thats who got the most throws. #9 caught 12 or 13 passes only one didn't catch and it was thrown over his head out of bounds. I know I taped the game so get your facts straight. When you get close to 200 yards one player don't think covering too well

Iknownball don't know jack!! You may want to watch your tape and see how many catches were made against #5 on the qb left side. A couple of quick throws for little or no gain nothing cought past the line of scrimmage. Not taking nothing away from breahitts qb he is better than most does not throw into coverage can go to his second and third options not many high school qb can do that. And you may want to change that from ran the ball the entire third quarter to attempted to run the ball. Just watch your film 19 points first half 7 points second half. Lc 26 points 22 points second.

I disagree with this. Belfry blew us out pretty bad the last two seasons but those were experienced, championship runner up teams. I could be wrong but I don't think Belfry will blow us out this year. This Lawrence team is leaps and bounds better then the last two years. Belfry will be the favorite (as they should be) and will probably beat us, but I think Lawrence can give em a much better game then people want to think. Breathitt likes to pass the ball and that is not what this Lawrence defense is set up for. Belfry will run most of the time and that matches up better with our defense. We don't play Belfry for a long time and both teams will get better and better but I will revisit this thread and post when that time comes. :Thumbs:

Lets quit looking to far in the future, Belfry will be there when its time for them. Right now lets work on the game at hand. If LC stays healthy we should see improvement each week, How we match up against Belfry will be seen in time.

I agree with this. From what I hear this East Carter team is not the pushover that we have seen a few times in the past. I hear good things about how they are trying to turn that program around. If we don't bring our A game and look over this team, then we just might be the ones getting pushed over.

Bulldogs continute to get better each week, and that is a sign of good coaching. This team does have a few kinks that need to be worked out. I'm sure those things have already been discussed. From what I saw Friday night A.J. Cyrus managed his best game of the year. He made good reads, kept it when he needed to and pitched it when needed. They cut down on turnovers and that's why they won. I think I can say that this offense will score as long as they take care of the ball. The question mark coming in to this year was the defense, and right now we are 3-1 so they must be doing a good job wouldn't you say?
