Good win for Boyle.

Good win and a game Boyle needed. This experience will help and make them better down the road.

Good win for Boyle. This game should help both teams down the road.
On another note, Boyle's kickoff coverage has been terrible for 15 years.

Anderson County is very experienced team and very disciplined all around. Two touchdowns for Anderson County were a fumble recovery that literally fell into the guys hands as he ran untouched to the endzone. The other TD was a kickoff return for a touchdown. So overall, I felt like Boyle Countys defense did what they had to do. They bent but they didn't break, which has kinda been the theme so far. #25 literally was a one man show on offense for the Bearcats, or at least it appeared that way. With all that said, the Rebels grew up A LOT last night.

Kinda disagree about the one man show. Ashburn (15) killed them. Plus their qb who made many mistakes also made several plays while seemingly being hemmed in in the backfield. Where Anderson surprised me was on D. Defensive front was very good as well as couple of the LB's. Our young QB didn't have his best game but will learn from it like you said.

Wish we still had #15 (Ashburn)

Congrats Boyle big win,I agree with boyle county number 25 had a big game ashburn got his off of boyle mistakes.

I won't dispute Ashburn being a part of the close loss but I wouldn't say he "killed them". He had a ball fall into his hands in stride for a fumble recovery touchdown. Also the QB broke out of pressure to find a uncovered Ashburn for a touchdown. Otherwise, he had an average 7 carries for 35 yards and 1 catch for 27 yards. If you take Ross out of that game then Boyle County wins convincingly. Disagree?

Also, to add on to that. Ross(#25) for Anderson County accounted for nearly half the ammount of yards of total offense, excluding a 94 kickoff touchdown return.
I will agree with you on the Bearcats defense. Thats why I said they were discplined all around. The defense stayed at home and never over contained. They made the Rebels earn every yard.

Ashburn played well on defensive too he's one heck of a player I wish we still had him

If you take Ross out of it they still lose by a bigger margin. Ashburn also had about 14 tackles. Don't get me wrong, I think Ross for Anderson was the best player on the field for either team.

Anderson County is potentially the 2nd best team in 5A so don't be too surprised. Boyle County did have chances to put the game away but as a young team will do, they made mistakes. As long as they get better each week, which they have, they will be ok.

Oh thanks for the update. Lex Cath just like your excuses... are young. Zero returning starters on O-line and D-line. The difference is Lex Cath scheduled a tougher schedule that you all so Lex Cath had to gel and grow up faster. Sorry but they only schedule Bowling Green, Saint X and 4 other 6A teams. These are not just 6A teams. These teams are or eirther district champs or regional finalist at one time... But you wont reschedule JH or Highlands again cause you all have a young ball club. Mmmm ok thats fine.

I sure hope the beatdowns by BG and St. X helped out Lexington Catholic. Other than getting beatdown by those two powerhouses Lexington Catholic beat a below average Bryan Station team. The Knights beat a 1-3 Lafayette team whose only win is against Boone County who is probably the worst 6A school., who is also on the Knights schedule. I'm not taking anythanything away from Lexington Catholic because I respect their program but the point I want to make is, getting beatdown by powerhouses doesnt always help!
I can't wait for Boyle. County/Lexington Catholic part 1 because the talk has already began.

What's your point black? BG, Saint X, Boone and Lafayette were state champ and/ or contenders at one time too.

nicker: Beatdown. That's funny! At least that program did not duck any challenges regarless if they are a young ball club. In reference to Lex Cath. No excuses, just play!!

All kidding aside Boyle Co fan... We all know that your program is top notch. So far I have pick them to win every single game thus far this season. In fact I have said Boyle Co. wins as much as they want or running clock by the 2nd quarter. And the reason I said " Interesting score " from the Anderson county was because I pick Boyle Co by at least 3-4 TD favor. I envy blackngold and Boylecounty's remard, but you jack, I dont. Your the reason why Highlands, Cov Cath and even Lex Cath fans tend to dislike Boyle Co fan...Not the program, cause we all know that the Rebels are top notch. Regarless Lex Cath/ Boyle Co part 1 or 2 or whatever, I dont care for the outcome. I am Catholic and thats the only dog I have on this.

Correction on returning starters. Cameron Bailey was starting right tackle last year for 6 games until knee injury ended season. Back better than ever as evidenced by his being named MVP offensive lineman for 2015 at NUC Midwest combine in July. Starting center this year. Just FYI

Umm funny I thought it was Buckles and Jackson at RT and LT tackle all season long, but then again I could be wrong. Thanks for the info granddad. And if Bailey was the only player with some playing experience returning this season, well yes that is LACK of returning starters sir. The line though is doing very well lately with the ground and pound attack of Grey and Mitchell. So they have jelled together. Over 200 yards as a team in the last couple of games.
09-18-2013, 10:53 AM
To put this to rest. Buckles was LT Ridge Jackson was LG Trey Mattingly was center Drake Jackson was RG and Cameron Bailey was RT. This changed from time to time when Ridge and Cameron were injured. Yes the line has come along and performed very well as I expected. Carpenter has developed into a solid lineman and Castlin has proven to be able to hold his own against solid opposition. Marty Brown and Chase Bolin are playing out of place but they too have proven their ability to open holes as the rushing stats have proven. Should be fun to watch next year.

And you sir are one of the reasons most Boyle county fans dislike Lexington Catholic so much.the difference between me and most of the Boyle fans on here is they try to take the high road and be nice.as for me i'd rather piss you off than be nice to you.i haven't posted on a Lex cath thread all season and won't until they play Boyle so i don't have to deal with people like you.your arrogance becomes you.
