Fairview keeps winning there close games and that's what they must do to be successful.
#5
Fairview manages to find another way to win. Didnt sound like a matter of whi had the ball last. 2 fairview ints won the game when it HAD to be won. Hats off to them and their staff.

Well glad the young man has another year..

Pike Central found a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Leading by 8 they give up two TD's within a minute of each other. Their last two possessions have an INT to set up the go ahead TD, and an INT to seal the deal.

Lots of turnovers and all around awful tackling by both sides.

With all that said.. it sure was a fun game to listen to though. The Fairview announcers will need to change their drawers after their reactions the Final 2:00.

Props to our 2nd stringers who stepped up tonight with several 1st stringers not playing for various reasons . I will say this i am one to NEVER complain about refs , but tonight it was more than obvious of home cooking . I actually have on video a ref telling one of our fans "we are here to make sure you lose " . Lawerence Co if you play them at home you are 2 to 3 TDs better , if you play them at PCC , good luck !

Really, one hell of a game.

Pike Central really should have won this game, but they shot theirselves in the foot a couple times late with a couple TO's that Fairview converted into points.

Should have ran the ball more during that crunch time and tried to eat as much clock as possible, Dakota Ray & Mac Justice both did run the ball really well.

Fairview tho, very good team...I was very impressed with them.

PC should be pleased with this game although they lost, they performed admirably. Should give the team alot of confidence heading into next week hosting Lawrence Co.

Were you the kid filming for Fairview up in the press section?

PCC played better than I thought they would. This game was an excellent game to prepare PCC against Lawrence Co. And Belfry's ground and pound. Unfortunately for the Hawks they gave up lots of yardage and a bunch of big plays on basic running plays.

Lastly, I don't see anyone in the 1A East even challenging Mayfield.

Congrats to Fairview. Pike Central they are better than given credit for. Justice is a very good quarterback.
#17
Great win for the Eagles!!!! Whooooooo Hooooo!! SWEET!!!!!!!!!!
#18
Good win Fairview but I must say, Pike Central aint know joke.
#19
Great game by the Hawks. I thought they had this one won. Two costly turnovers at the end was the difference.

Elkins hit a FG in this one that looked as if it would have been good from 45 yards.

Congrats Fairview.

No i was by the field filming , & im 40yrs old former Ref myself thats why i never complain about refs but these were terrible
#21
Not surprised by the score. Fairview does need to tighten up their defense.

Any word on Kings status ans the other rB?

Seriously? You're going to be *that* guy? The ref's Fairview used during the East Ridge game were anything but "fair." Be happy you came back with the W.

I know that comparing scores often does not mean much, but nevertheless, Williamsburg handled Pike Central very easily. The Yellow Jackets may very well be the best team on the eastern part of the 1A bracket.

I am thinking the same thing but you have to put Pikeville alongside them. Just my humble opinion but I think Pikeville is about 3 TD's better than PC. Final Score may be something like 63-42.. but 21 points better nonetheless.

More than likely done for yr . If can come back wont be any earlier then regional if FHS would make it that far .

Actually FHS had more flags , & penalty yards against them than what East Ridge had , but cant complain they were desreved . Being a former Ref i never complain about them , but last night's Refs was probably the most blatant homer Refs i have ever seen . Leaping isnt allowed in high school football ref staring right at a PCC ball carrier leaping no flag , Ref within a couple feet looking at a PCC defender facemask a FHS RB to the point his head turned around again no flag at this point is when said ref turned to say we are here to make sure you lose . I could go on & on with blatant missed calls , & calls against FHS that shouldnt have been called

5 teams in the east are very comparable. Hazard, Fairview, Raceland, Pikeville, and Williamsburg. Any one of 5 could win the east.

I will assume the other RB that left the team is not a starter or that it was just a rumor. What about Metzier?

None of which have consistanty played defense. Over all, Raceland probably has the best defense, even though they havent played wonderfully as of late. Pikeville and Williamsburg have shown the most offensive potency. Fairview and Hazard neither one play much defense but find ways to win. Williamsburg has a potent offense, but much like Raceland have been known to play down to competition. The East is a toss up at this point, imo with no real clear cut favorite. Who ever wins imo is still going to be a 3-4 td underdog to MF, RVille, Bwood.
