Beechwood needs a running game.... Cant win if you can run the ball.. Reminds me of Williamsburg from last year..

Surely they are better than that guys. They were playing a pretty tough and bigger school. You got to give it to them for the scheduling. They are a classy program and will not be happy with this loss. They will strive to make themselves better. I just think they are a little young yet.

Beechwood never really tried to run the ball much.. They insisted on throwing the ball which is uncommon in beechwood football.

I watched this game on television last night and Cov Cath was just a more powerful team. Early in the game Beechwood had opportunities to score and couldn't punch it in the redzone. If you play a good team like Cov Cath you have to get your points when you can get them. Beechwood has some good athletes and their team speed looked really good and I think they will be fine once they start playing Class A teams. Based on the Class A games I have seen so far I would say that Beechwood is slightly better than Hazard and Fairview but both team are capable of beating them if they played.

I wouldn't say they are slightly better but with the tradition beechwood has you have to give them the respect..Beechwood has several solid athletes and if they play flawless and turnover free football I feel they can beat anyone. Just as I feel if Hazard played a flawless game.

I agree with you and the slight edge I gave to Beechwood is based on their tradition. It is a shame that there is no guarantee that Fairview or Hazard will even play Beechwood. After seeing all three teams play I believe any of them could win a game against one another on any given night.

What I find curious is why does SK get the grief for playing a 2A school, but nobody has a problem with a 4A school, with a larger roster than many 6A schools, playing a 1A school.

This is a longstanding rival game of schools about a mile apart. They all know each other and work together, ect.
