Johnson Central 56 Ironton, OH 14

Final

Absolutely dominant tonight!!! That's really all anyone can say about it...dominant performance by JC.
#3
For those that were there....

Just how good did The Tank's "home cookin' taste?
#4
JC showing off again

The "Tank" isn't a tough place to play, it's a place where you will get carjacked, robbed at knifepoint, and flat out hosed if your team is just slightly better than the Browns wannabes.

Congrats to JC for showing they are clearly the better team.

Really wasn't that bad...we had two TDs called back. One on a bogus Pass Interference call...that gave Ironton their first TD. All in all, not as bad as I expected. However, if the game had been closer it could have been a totally different story.

Did Ironton have a good passing game? If so, how did our Defense look against the pass?
#9
Ironton is not a good passing team. They have a QB that can run around and make plays but overall they are big and slow up front and lack the skill players that Ironton has had in the past.

They are average.

Good win any stats?

They probably look better now with Paladino on the field. That kid's got some speed and moves.
#12
Paladino showed tremendous speed on the one long run for Ironton's 2nd TD. JC overran the play and left a cutback lane wide open. Good vision by Paladino to find the lane. He is a nice player!
#13
Paladino is a warrior. That kid has heart i would take him on my team any day. He took a beating and he just kept going.

As I understand it from reading the SE Preps boards, he is a sophomore transfer from South Point, had to sit out the first half of the season and last night was his first game eligible for Ironton. So, no, I don't believe he did based on what I was told.

Good solid performance by JC . Enjoyed the Tanks atmosphere , great night for football .

Ironton has a very nice stadium really enjoyed it. Not many grass fields left and close to the field also. Talked to a lot of fans from their and all were very nice. No comparison to the fans from the other side of the river. One thing for sure they gave it their all on the field and no excuses did they make for not winning.

I don't think so. I believe he was a transfer from south point that just got eligible.

Way to be classy, insulting the people of Ironton

Wow, ironton must be really down this year

Your reading comprehension needs a little work pal. I was insulting the referees at Ironton and anyone affiliated with them the times my team was there and got hosed.

There are only 3 places I've been to that have earned there reputation of stealing games from other teams and Ironton, Ohio is definitely one of them. But let's just be fair and say they learned the technique from Ashland.

Would the other be Breathitt County lol?
#23
Also gotta say kind of impressed with the JC passing game as well it looked very good

Breathitt doesn't deserve to be in the same breath of Ironton. I only know of one atrocious call at Breathitt ..granted it was perhaps the worst call I have witnessed short of Moe Spradlin's crawl... but at Ironton I literally witnessed linemen turn around and tackle defenders to avoid sacks and balls being extended three feet over the goalline only to be ruled short.
