I know there is a lot of ppl on here that is already laughing... but im not familiar with the path that they would have to take to get there. Could someone be so kind to list the 6a schools and how they would play..
Just sayin this team may have a shot.. maybe a long shot.. but they just might shock some ppl.. Glad to see a the west with another power school.. I know their future will be brite, but they have really started finding their grove.. we will see friday how they stand against a team in close stature to them.. ..
I know the main 6a teams but I dont know how they fall into their districts.. thanks somebody...

I would love to break district 4 completely up. Manuel, Male, X, and T are probably the states most prestigious teams. I think it would be nice to put one in each region and see what can happen.

I agree but I still believe schools like X and Trinity should have to play in a Prep league of private school league. I understand to be the champ you have to beat the best but how fair is it really the 1400 kids at there school are all boys they can choose from for football. Compare to most of the 6a schools with less than 500-600 boys and maybe 75 come out for football if there lucky.

Thanks guys.. that is perfect... exactly what I wanted to look at...

1400 boys from God knows how many different counties. Just hearsay but I hear they even get some indiana boys from time to time.

Let me take a pencil to your numbers:
Trinity 1600+
SK, Ryle, Boone, Campbell County 850+
Dixie 700+ and less than -25 boys away from 5A. So you SK, Ryle, Boone, and Campbell County homers enjoy your 150+ lead

And now you know why Dixie struggles with depth!

Thanks SPIRIT on the hard numbers. It was supposed to say 500-600 less than Trinity.

So there you go. Since you cleared that up, I'm gonna say McCracken makes it to semis in their first year. Another Louisville team coming to west Ky to spend some money. Hopefully Mayfield will be hosting Beechwood that week.

Sorry mysonis55 to hijack the thread with enrollment stats. I would like nothing more than to see McCracken beat one of the Louisville Monsters.
Any idea what McCrackens enrollment is to compare? What is McCrackens history regarding what schools combined? We're in the dark east of your region. Although you all already knew that!

^Thank you and way to be ontopofthewest!
That's a crap ton of athletes to pull from. There may be a new 6A sheriff in the state. It will take a few seasons to see how things shake out. Good luck to the Mustangs!

Spirit, no need to apologize. I like the info. I don't believe in the whole hijack or troll thing. We should be able to talk football on any thread on here. I don't know their numbers, but by our standards they are huge. They are bigger than Marshall Co for sure. The teams that combined was a very good 4a Lone Oak, not so good 3a Heath and a terrible 2a Riedland. But, you know even the bad schools have some athletes and linemen to pull from. Seriously you need to see film on the soph qb, Hughes. He is a certain D1 if his grades are right.

NOT SO FAST MY FRIEND! District 6 will have something to say about that....

I did not realize McCraken was that big.
McCrakenhas a lot to prove for western ky 6a schools. If Ryle loses tonight I would expect to be attending the game if McCraken does end up being the #1 down that way.
How is Henderson County this season

A beat-up CovCath team beat them at Henderson Co. a couple weeks ago.

I was wondering if it was the same Henderson where the dominate the West till they hit Louisville and NKY.. Thx Hop

How can dist 6 have anything to say about it? The semis on the west consists of teams in dist 1-4. Dist 6 has to play in the east side playoffs.
10-04-2013, 09:29 PM
After the beat down they put on GCHS maybe they will start to smell what I've been cookin.
10-08-2013, 01:22 PM
McCracken has about 2000 kids total in 4 grades.
10-08-2013, 01:28 PM
I think they are gonna be in the semis. I don't think they will beat Trinity, but I think they will get there. I don't think Henderson has a prayer.

According to KhSAA
R1
D1 vs D2
R2
D3 vs D6
For 2013 season which means they will be on the same side of the bracket.
R3
D4 vs D5
R7 vs D8
It's all posted in the playoff pairings thread

While Haskins teams have a record of improving as the season progresses, they also have a record of losing high-value games. They have already lost two high value games this year in terms of prestige. Who's to say that won't happen again?

It should also be noted that Scott County is the larges 6a school in the state with almost 2500 students

How many males? Wouldn't that put T and X as the biggest male enrollments?
10-08-2013, 04:27 PM
Plain and simple, nobody is touching T or X. Anyone who thinks they will be beat is a McCrackhead.
10-08-2013, 06:30 PM
I don't think anyone is expecting McCracken to get past Trinity to get to bg. I expect they will get to them in semis though.
