Paducah is not a bad team, their qb is a good athlete and they are big upfront. Their schedule is also very deceiving and they will be underestimated. Losses come from a good McCracken county team 24-23, Evansville reitz 28-16,mayfield 28-21, graves county 30-27, highlands 42-25, and Henderson co 27-14.unlike most of the teams in the mix they play a solid schedule. Central is the same way. Through these tough games they become better than average competition by being tested. The title game will boil down to central or wayne if not Paducah vs. belfry. I'm not saying Paducah is a guarantee I'm just saying don't count them out so soon.

I'm sorry to clarify that they beat McCracken 24-23

PT has beat a team that was playing their first ever football game and a very bad MNH.
Fort Cambell is down, Trigg is not very good and Webster is awful. You won't know how they will do until you get there.
10-11-2013, 08:50 AM
They don't lay down and most of their games with the exception of highlands were close.

Although the Bobcats are getting better each week, they are still not even close to being a contender. The offense is showing improvement, but the defense is still very bad. If we can't stop Magoffin County, how are we going to stop Lawrence County or Belfry. I hope we can become a contender by season's end, but realistically I don't think it is going to happen. Good Luck Bobcats!!!!!!

Here's a 3A fact that is oft-missed.
The four games Fort Campbell lost are to teams with a combined 24-2 record.
Mayfield, Caldwell, McCracken and Russellville.

I've seen both and I think PT wins.

Thank you mysonis but let's hope it's belfry

However if you like comparing scores pt beat McCracken and only lost to mayfield by a fg and extra point.

Breathitt is awful this year

Tilghman is right where they need to be. Down in the pack. Off everybody's radar. Let Wayne and Bell and Corbin and Central beat up on each other for a few weeks. Lets see who is still standing. Friday's South Warren @ Monroe game will be a pretty good grudge match up given what Monroe did to them twice last year and seeing that SW is doing a little chest thumping this year.
10-15-2013, 08:11 AM
Breathitt will be a competitor come playoff time

Pulling for a Belfry finish and packing hardware to the mountains

Litkenhouse has Paducah Tilghman @ #1 in 3A and McCracken #6 in the entire state LOL. Actually it has three teams within 25 miles of each other in the overall top 11. McCracken, Mayfield and Tilghman.
I'm a homer but not sure I am willing to go that far.

Wayne has an Awesome team from top to bottom haven't seen Belfrey or Central but these three would be my top three for a state title

Keep Trigg County in the mix. Well coached and disciplined team. Not afraid to use some trickery or the unconventional play. They do not quit. Sometimes got out atheleted against Tilghman but this game was skewed by two TC muffed punts. If that gets fixed and I am guessing it will, this could be a sleeper team that could win some post season games. TC at times moved the ball nearly at will up and down the field between the twenties: shovel passes, counters, short slants. They had a couple of long drives. QB looked pretty sharp. My guess as of today is they could wrap up district play in second place and maybe host a playoff game. All depends on their game at Fort Campbell.

Belfry and central would be another great game bu I don't feel central has the team this year.
10-20-2013, 01:10 PM
Central is like a vampire...you have to drive a stake in them and then you wait around to see if they still get up and kick your butt...Central will be there IMO, but the margin is razor thin.

More like Herpes, you can hate them all you want, but they will always be there.

Wayne County will win it all.

Call the KHSAA and tell them to cancel 3A - Wayne has already won it.

Wayne won't make it past the semis if they make it that far. The defensive coordinator returning makes all the difference in the world for a previously undisciplined PT team. I said it before he returned that the only problem they had was lack of discipline and some coaching issues. They got a d coordinator back that is a disciplinarian. He will have them boys in line and ready to play ball with anyone before the playoffs arrive. The strength of schedule will also work in their favor. When you have the athletes that PT has, if you have any discipline at all you should go far, very far. I really believe this is the year of the Tornado.
10-22-2013, 06:26 AM
PT will win a couple of playoff games but will struggle against South Warren's defense, if they end up meeting. Wayne will make a deep run and is capable of derailing Central @ Central. No one else over there is.

Not a chance bub. You beat Corbin (an overrated team) by a touchdown when they were without their only offensive player.
Knox Central's six wins are against opponents who are a combined 7-49, they are not good. Bell will not make it past the second round.
The good news is that I hear Dudley is looking to come back to high school football!!!
