As inconsistent as the cats have played this season an upset by the musketeers is not that far fetched. The cats have developed a bad habit of not taking teams seriously.

Had Rowan county's coach not gotten away from the run it may have been a different outcome barely showing up till the forth quarter at Boyd, and then allowing Sheldon Clark run right down our throats and score on the opening drive.

Why does J.C only play 9 games or did they pick up a 10th? No offense but your schedule is a joke and Ashland and Belfrey are the only 2 games which will give your team a test!! To their credit they did squeak out a couple of wins against Raceland and Russell. The Fact is without BaKer this set of putty tats is a bad team. Didn't ashland want to play the game early and belfry play it this past week? If I'm not mistaken. Just looking for some clarification on what I remember cause I am 95% sure that is correct

JC is just to strong for a young Ashland squad. The only thing keeping this from a running clock is the yellow hankies. This was and still is a rebuilding year for Ashland they will be back but not this game.

Is there a game anywhere in the states that fans get more excited for than this one. I love it. But really alot can happen that can change the way this game shapes up. Lets see who makes it Injury free out of Friday before we start making prefdictions. Both teams have had good seasons. Lets just focus on Friday.

It is good to see Ashland and Johnson Central fans snip at each other. For what it is, it is a decent rivalry. However, to imply that there are no more fervent rivalries is a gross exaggeration. In this area, one wo9uld have to admit that Fort Thomas and CovCath is a much greater rivalry. How about Trinity and St. Xavier. Even in your area, Fairview and Raceland may be bigger.

This game is to determine who must come to Fort Thomas in the second round and play and lose to the Bluebirds. That is what it is every year. The winner will lose to Fort Thomas the next week if it cam get past CovCath on its home field- a feat that usually doesn't happen either.

But, for the eastern area, it is a good game.

Saint X and Trinity rivalry does not need to be on papers. Each game has been played at a big venue ( Papa John's stadium ). Why you ask? Cause every mother comes out and watches. 20,000 plus peps strong. Just saying and I'm sure the rivalry between Ash and JC is a good one as well.

Question one: They usually beat CovCath at home because they are generally the district champ. That's pretty much how that works isn't it?

They don't have to cause cov Cath has never been good enough to win the district. The so called "rivalry" they have with highlands isn't much of one since cov Cath hasn't won in ages. Much like the Ashland/ Ironton rivalry before the last 6 years. The other team has to win a few occasionally for it to be a rivalry. I would argue Highlands biggest Rivals The past decade.
