Please understand, I do not mean to talk bad of your program. You all at JC have a tremendous supportive school system and passionate fans. And the kids from what I have seen have acted very well on and off the field. My only gripe is with your head coach. Not saying he is not a good X's and O's coach. Because he is good at football coaching. My question is how he goes about it with all the holdbacks. And also his very non-sportsmanship qualities that he displays around the eastern end of the state.
JC is very successful and wish them luck. Don't think they can get past the Bluebirds though. Haven't seen enough diversity in their passing and running game to get it done.

Oh and by the way. There have been a lot of coaches tell Matney what they thought of him to his face throughout the years. So don't sound like he or you are some awe inspiring tough guy that people fear there Richard.

Ok my bad. So it sounds like you have 17 kids that should be in 8th grade instead of 7th. But that makes my point even more clear. By the time these kids become 19 there senior year, they are leaps ahead of a normal 16 or 17 yr. old. I have coached for many years, and trust me, when I have had 1 or 2 hold backs it makes a huge difference. You can't compare the maturity of a young 17 yr. old to an older 19 yr. old. And yes JC has a lot of hold backs. Everyone in eastern ky knows this. All I am saying is that when the new KHSAA rule goes into effect, the coach will have to become an activist in getting parents to hold their kid back at the 5th grade level. Hey if that's what your all about is holding kids back so you can win a few football games then go for it. And yes I KNOW IT'S LEGAL as long as the kid does not turn 19 by Aug. 1st. But when you are known across the state to actively hold back literally dozens of kids for the sole purpose of winning football. Well I would have to say your a very short sighted person. Unless of course it truly takes 13 yrs. for your kid to get a good education down there. LOL

WRONG. Read real close. We have 17 kids that are in the 8th grade (they will be freshmen next year) that should be in the 7th based on their age. So what that means is that our 8th grade team has 7 kids starting on offense and defense that really are legitimate 8th grade age and we start 4 kids on the 8th grade team that should be in 7th. That is backward from what you are trying to say. The same is true for our 7th grade team. Many of them should still be in elementary school. Guess I should call you SUINEG since you like to turn everything around.

No nothing to hide Rich. Just not a good idea to use real names on a computer. I can assure you that what I am saying is not garbage. I have coached against him on several occasions. And in my opinion. I do not agree or like him. He is however a good knowledgeable football coach. Ok but I can tell you this... Remember a few years back, JC middle school participated in the state middle school football tournament ( so those kids should be around soph, juniors or perhaps seniors ) in high school now. So far so good? That team came and played at Lafayette HS. Early morning game in fact, so far so good sir? In fact If im not mistaken, JC fans were even placed on the home side of the stadium. So far so good Richard? I even got a chuckle when some of the JC fans ask the Lafayette grill guy if they would considered serving fried balogna sandwiches at their concession. Sure enough after that day, Lafayette HS did and stated to sell fried balogna sandwiches over thier grill. It was a hit to Lafayette fans. How do I know all these info... If you were at that game or any of you here ie. pulp, Bob segar, kygamenight or whomever.... I was one of the 2 in uniform presence that day ( figure it out ). So no I will not reveal you my name, nor my rank, nor what department I work for. And that my firend its the ONLY thing I know and have knowledge of Johnson Central. NOTHING else, but a football fan for life.

True Rich. I did say that. But of all the years I coached I had maybe 3 TOTAL. Unlike JC who practices it every year so that they can win games. Don't tell me that if all those holdbacks were to be in their original grade that JC would be just as successful. Surely you can't say that. Again ethical practices by your glorious coach.

Switching gears here.... (if my math is correct)

Since the Matney era started in 2004 (that's 9 seasons). JC has played a total of 118 games between the regular season and the playoffs.

I did a little research......
I've been to 77 games either home/away, regular season/playoffs.
And I've missed 41 games.


Hard to believe I've missed that many games. I thought the number would be like 5 or so.

And yes you have given us a beat down a few times. Like I said my dislike for coach goes back before JC time frame. And how HE acted when HIS team was on the receiving end of a BEATDOWN. LOL
