THOMCAT Wrote:WRONG. Read real close. We have 17 kids that are in the 8th grade (they will be freshmen next year) that should be in the 7th based on their age. So what that means is that our 8th grade team has 7 kids starting on offense and defense that really are legitimate 8th grade age and we start 4 kids on the 8th grade team that should be in 7th. That is backward from what you are trying to say. The same is true for our 7th grade team. Many of them should still be in elementary school. Guess I should call you SUINEG since you like to turn everything around.
Stop and Read this so you can understand better.

I think this would be an excellent series to start.
We already play Boyd Co., Ashland and Greenup Co. in district games.
Not sure if the Ironton, OH. series has been extended.
But that would be pretty sweet to have those 5 teams on the schedule along with Belfry.
The other four games.... I would love to see JC start a series with a good Lex/Cent. KY school..... and a NKY team.
Leaving 2 more games to fill.

I have been watching highlights this morning of some of highlands games and im going go be honest..if we are fortunate to make it to highlands i dread it. Their defense and quarterback is very impressive. What is good about jc is that they continue to get better every game. Dale mueller though is an excellent coach and highly respected

Better start recruiting Florida or Georgia those Texas boys can't win ::
Wow. In order to read eagles 2011, you need an interpreter. Johnson Central is known around Governor Cup circles for having a decent academic program. Apparently, you were not one of the Language Arts team members.
And, as I requested from the other government school whiners, if you must blow smoke about alleged recruiting by Trinity, you should offer some evidence. You JC boys need to win something before you ride your high horse.

It is the truth, especially the number of holdbacks in the last few years. Just because you are drinking the cool aid doesn't mean that everyone else does. I have coached against him on several occasions. And in my opinion. I do not agree or like him. He is however a good knowledgeable football coach. So Rich. excuse me for the mis-interpretation about wanting to know my real name. Maybe we will have those coffee and donuts and talk about the ol' JC traditions after all. LOL
Technically there is no such thing as a holdback, so I don't know why you keep rattling on about that.....A kid is either a legal age to play or he is not a legal age to play....If a kid does not start school until he is say age 7, does that make him a holdback?....
What is your definition there sore tail?

Get the water truck ready!!!!!!!!!!! The only way that Ashland will stop JC running backs is on a very muddy field. Need to turn your goal post sideways to keep another state record from being set.

Very astute comment. You are speaking of Blond Bob, aren't you?

I don't really understand the big deal with hold backs. I have two kids and if I decide to hold them back it's really not another person in the world business. Thier mother and I will decide what is best for them not others who don't like my decisions on a message board. If thier ages are legal by KHSAA rules then it's legal. The reason why I would hold back my child is my decision no one else's. If your afraid your kid is going to be hurt by a kid which is usually one year older as a hold back the the solution in my opinion is simple, don't allow them to participate. Participating in athletics is a privilege not a requirement!

The more I think about this the more funny I find it. It kinda reminds me of two parents arguing over allowing thier kids to have a pop. Mother says no Johnny can't drink a pop cause his organs are developing and it isn't good for him. Dad says but dear it's just a drink. Who is right and who is wrong? Guess it depends on who you ask. My personal opinion on hold backs is if should be done on elementary school. Regardless of the reason for the hold back I'm still dying to hear some one tell me one negative thing it does for the child. Do I know what my child will be doing with one more year at home? Absolutely! Will my child be more mature when they leave home? Sure hope so! Will my child be a little more physically mature? Should be might prevent an injury for them! Will they be better prepared for college socially? For many kids being a little more mature allows then to be a leader not follower! Will it help them excell in academics? Who knows! Not sure it will hurt and can't find a negative about it. By the way this is a decision I will be having to make twice sighing the next 4 years due to the recent change to 5th grade. And by the way both of mine are girls not boys.

Unfortunately for them, their only real weapon doesn't want a muddy field. They'll have the fastest player on the field...but we'll probably have the next six or seven fastest. Their strength plays into ours.

Little too late for that. Like I said before this is a special Johnson Central team and they should win by plenty. If they don't win by 50 points they should be embarrassed. I guess if they are not already embarrassed enough by no balls Bob.

Because they might have the stones to play us.
And doesn't involve somebody coming from Canada. Or us going to Canada.
There are plenty of closer schools than Raceland. Ask THEM why they won't play us...

Now that this weeks game is over on to the district championship
Ashland 3
JC 0
On a 65 yd field goal as time runs out.
If my prediction comes to pass I expect to be named king of all predictors.
