I read this....
In a press release put out by State Representative Steve Riggs (D-Louisville) Wednesday evening, Riggs announced plans "to file legislation stripping the authority of the governing body to creating fines of this nature." Riggs said he based his decision following a statement recently made by Tackett to the Louisville Courier-Journal claiming "school officials and coaches who fail to observe the directive could fined up to $1,000."

then searched for the article, and can't find it online, so was wwondering if it really existed, or if that word "claiming" might be a clue that it's not real.

(oops... shoulda been in general)

Yeah I posted about that sometime about a week or so ago. They had something on WPSD tv site about it. He said then that he was going to do that.

that can;t be the original C-J article... it doesn't mention the $1,000, and it DOES mention Riggs. That article was written AFTER the fact, on the 10th... Riiggs release was the 9th.
I'm looking for the 'earlier' article that mentions $1000... it may not be online.

(I also noticed all of the Riggs stories have the same error, so it must have originated in his office... "any FIND collected"...)
