While stupidity played a role it is much deeper than that. It's more of an above the law attitude that McPeek and Company have employed.

Since Fairview is in a 4 team district I wonder if they would become the 4 Seed if they have to forfeit games?

Wouldn't quite seem fair that Pikeville would have to host Fairview in Round 1 as opposed to hosting them in Round 2

They didn't really give any info other than Fairview being investigated over the ineligible player and that the khsaa confirmed it was true.

It was on the radio.They did not say much but it is ongoing.There will be more details tomorrow and this weekend.The radio said Fairveiw has taken action and will have a statement Monday.Leaping Lee says the head coach is gone.That is about we all know.

We wonder why kids don't play sports.I have seen a lot of people talking on here this year about numbers being down.When the adults get out of the way it might be fun for them again.Every one of those kids was put in that position by a adult and the kids will pay the price.

After hearing about this I will never complain about the Raceland coaching staff ever again. I may question their play calling from time to time but at least they teach their players about having integrity and how it is not alright to cheat to get ahead.

LEXINGTON — The Kentucky High School Athletic Association has confirmed that there is active research ongoing within the Fairview High School athletic program involving the eligibility of a student-athlete.

Until a conclusion is derived, no findings will be revealed and there will be no comment from the KHSAA on the matter, according to the organization.

I agree with you 100% but this has nothing to do with where the kid came from, he actually was a transfer from a local school. He played last year while repeating his junior year and this year as a 5th year high school student both of which are blatant rule violations.

For the record this is the same kid that McPeek told the paper that was off the team for a violation of team rules. In other words he threw the kid under the bus for his own transgressions, shameful at a minimum.

It's sad for everyone they cheated last year on the way to the title game and sad for all the legit Fairview kids who will get cheated going forward.
