Will they even be allowed to play in the post season? I am not sure what the KHSAA will find but everyone who lives in NEKY knows that Fairview has ran a dirty program ever since McPeek got there and I believe they might find quite a few infractions if they really look.

I couldn't agree more. I have always found it easy to cheer for Fairview until recently, then the Sons of Anarchy took over.

If they played a 5th year senior they will have to forfeit the games he played in. If it was district they move down. They can still go to playoffs. This is not the first time something like this has happened. The other kids at fair view will be fine if the are legal. They will not wait till next year for that part of it. I do not know any of the things that happened but, they will do that.

Pikeville was going to have to beat both Fairview and Raceland anyway.
Just changes which round it would be in if it goes down that way. Pikeville probably does not fear Fairview at all after what Raceland did to them.

I guess the people at Russell was right when the said noooo to the Mcpeeks?

I wonder if russellpride has any insight on the situation? He is usually in the know about some Fairview stuff.

Best case for Music is that he makes it through the semester. I think that is the wishes of the Fairview board. I believe there is a board meeting on Monday and his fate could be decided then. He absolutely should be shown the door. Look he started this back when he "rented" a house to Chris Jennings.

I think that's what the KHSAA is pondering. Fairview wants to forfeit last season and the first few games this season but if the KHSAA is even remotely consistent it will be much more than that. I don't think there is any way McPeek coaches in the playoffs. If he does then shame on the KHSAA.

Seemed like a no brainer then and an even bigger no brainer now.

I think we all knew this was going to happen. As an old Ram I could not wait, now that it has I feel bad for the kids and teachers, strange to feel bad for Fairveiw but I do.

Truly sorry for all the Westwood faithful and student athletes who were doing things right and had no say so in the actions of a desperate few. I knew it was just a matter of te before the McPeeks got caught.

I don't feel bad for them I feel angry for them. McPeek, McPeek, and Music should be banned from ever being involved with high school athletics. If it were recruiting violations or an isolated incident I wouldn't feel so strongly but they thumb their nose at the rules over and over with complete disregard for their students and the school system.

Music is the king pin to all of this. I kind of feel bad for Nate. He was always a good kid. Tough not innocent I kind of feel for him in this one. I feel he is more guilty of just going with the flow than initiating any of this.

Our rivalry with Fairview has always been heated but at the end of the day we live in a area where everyone knows each other. Yes they are Fairview, but these people are also our coworkers, friends, and church families. The only thing that separates us is a few miles and a different school system. This situation is only hurting the members of our extended community who in most cases did nothing wrong and were victims of a corrupt bunch if individuals who wanted to win at all costs.

I'm not sure how he Fairview school system survives what is coming.

Pretty much what sources said...he was basically guilty for noy saying no. Leaping Lee probably has same information I have as for everything. My grandson knows Nate and always talked very highly of him. But like others said it was bound to end bad.

It's like getting Capone on tax evasion. You know they are guilty of much more.

Well, at the end of the day, whether or not the school even has a football team really isn't integral to its function as a school. Schools still exist to educate kids, not field football teams. The extracurriculars are called extra-curricular for a reason. They're extras. I'm afraid some places, like Eastern Kentucky, we unfortunately lose sight of that and tend to put the cart in front of the horse...

How many of the kids go back to Huntington?
10-24-2013, 08:22 PM
Serious question: Anything like the SMU penalty?

Clint Westwood is hanging from a light fixture right now.
You won't hear from Russell pride because he has to resign.

The real question is, are they welcome back?
