Congrats to Whitley on their first win of the season. These kids go out every day and practice their butts off week in and week out and it paid off. They could have laid down a long time ago. What will this do to the second and third seed? HC will be first and WC will be fourth, so will LC or PCC have more points?
#5
Does this make Perry Central a 2 seed now?
#6
Well....that came out of no where!! RIUTG must be Confusedinglepar

No i believe it goes into a point type system now. And with how bad perry beat whitley they will b the two seed
#10
Well it goes on the point system for four games. N if points are the same then it goes to head to head match up.
#11
Congrats to the Colonels!! Way to keep battling.
#12
You may have celebrated too soon after the Perry Central win.
Letcher doesn't get any points for beating Sheldon Clark and McCreary and only two for Berea.
Perry Central gets five just for beating Breathitt County.
I think it's Perry, Letcher and Whitley, in that order. Letcher goes to Madison Southern and Perry is at home against North Laurel.
#13
I don't know a whole lot about this tie stuff but I believe it goes to a point system between the three schools. I think it goes on wins on teams that a team beat and the amount of wins that team had. I know I just confused everybody cause I just confused myself. Whitley has no points so it comes down between PCC and LCC and I think it comes down to who they beat and how many wins that team they beat won.
#14
Colonels show a lot of heart. Good win. Gut was right on this one.
#15
Wow, thats a huge win for Whitley. Leads a man to believe what happened to Perry against Letcher? They seemed to handle Whitley pretty easily for the first time in a long while, and played nose to nose with Letcher? Just seems like something is off here. Was anyone hurt or out for Perry during the Letcher game?
#16
Surprised.
#17
GUT, where the HELL are you???? Get out of J.CREW and quit shopping and get on here and lets party!!!! GUT, seriously, just because you won doesn't mean you have to go into hiding since you swore your Kerrnels off and that they won't win this year. Just think about it. YOU MADE THE PLAYOFFS, oh wait, everybody did. Well, at least you get to go to Pulaski and while you are on your way you can stop in London and get you a good steak at Shiloe's. All I am asking of you is to please go support your Kerrenls and stay about from Lexington and those damn shopping malls.
#18
Congrats Whitley on getting that first W of the season! Well done.

Can't believe Gut not on here. Hey gut Whitley won one time to party!! Confusedinglepar
#21
Hate to admit Gut is right but he nailed this one. What was the difference tonight for the Colonels? I thought they were just playing out the string.
#22
Great win. Go Whitley

the Fran Tarkenton like performance(197 passing yards in the first half) by Whitley's young quarterback, and Zack Mills all over the field running wild, catching passes, sacking the Letcher quarterback etc is what happened lol

Woods can play, and he is capable of spreading the field. I look for him to have a big year next year.

All I know is District 7 Pulaski,Madison Southern and NorthLaurel will probably win there first round district playoff games, because district 8 is very weak, with that being said Harlan County will have there hands full of Madison Southern the second week of the playoffs. I believe it will be Pulaski and Madison Southern in the district finals out of district 7.
#27
What happens now, Letcher/Perry/Whitley all stand at 1-2 in district. Letcher beat Perry but lost to Whitley, Whitley lost to Perry but beat Letcher.

Letcher - 256 points scored
Perry - 212 points scored
Whitley - 185 points scored

I think that's the order that they are in for the playoffs. Not certain but I believe that's how it will unfold

First of all, im here.
Had to work early today so i didnt get a chance to get on last night.

I dont know what it is about Whitley and Letcher but the underdog usually pulls it off.

However, its a damn shame Whitley couldnt be fully healthy this year. Zack Mills showed what he can do healthy wise, last time i heard, he had 4 or 5 TDs from both rushing and receiving and had all kinds of tackles.

The difference tonight was Whitleys passing game. Where the hell has that thing been all year? I think Whitley threw for over 200 yards last night.

Great effort by this bunch. Im not going to count these young men out just yet. If there is anyway possible that we get Ysidro back in time for Pulaski, anything is possible. Im not sure on Hoopers injury, but it was suppose to be a season ending ankle injury, however, that happened two months ago, and who knows? Maybe thats a quiet secret....

Time to get back to work and figure out how we can utilize Woods' arm and think aobut throwing the ball a little bit.

By the way you all are completely wrong about the tiebreaker. Ive had to explain it in 10 threads already, so i wont mind doing it once again.

There is currently a three way tie for second place in the district.
Each team take FOUR of there non district wins and adds those teams wins up.

Letcher County
Berea 2 wins
Mccreary Central 0 wins
Sheldon Clark 0 wins
Didnt beat a 4th team- 0 wins

Letcher has a total of 2 points because Berea has won 2 games.

Perry Central
Clay County- 2 wins
Breathitt County- 5 wins
Rockcastle County- 2 wins
Didnt beat a 4th non district opponent- 0 wins

Perry has a total of 9 points.

Whitley County
Hasnt beat a non district opponent- 0 points

Whitley has 0 points.

As it stands right now, the seeding is 1. Harlan County, 2. Perry County, 3. Letcher County, 4. Whitley County

No matter what happens friday, Perry will keep the two seed. Even if Letcher gets point from a Breathitt win, it wont be enough to take over Perry in points.
If Perry loses, and Whitley upsets Boyle, then both will be tied for second place with 9 points, but then it goes to the head to head and Perry won, so it doesnt matter.

In other words Harlan County is your one seed, and Perry is your two seed. Those spots are locked.
If Whitley beats Boyle, theyll get the three seed over Letcher, but since thats a long shot, i see Letcher getting the three spot with Whitley being the 4.

I think that's the order that they are in for the playoffs. Not certain but I believe that's how it will unfold

Not how points work.
Perry has 9 pts with 1more possible from Breathitt win and 9 more with Wayne upset. Leather has 2 pts with possible 5 more with Breathitt win. Whitley has0 points with 9 possible with Boyle co win.
Should end Perry, letcher, Whitley.
