Is Bourbon that good? I don't guess Smith is subing any on defense to try and stop this. Probley bringing in the 165 lb 3rd string runner at nose that he's used before. Put the beef up front for gods sake. Russell has over 500 lbs in two kids that just stands on the side line

Too much speed for Boubon.

Russell has moved the ball a little but they can't stop Bourbon.
#9
Are they getting beat on the corners then

Getting beat right up the gut!!!! They are playing 20 yards and a cloud of dust!!!!
#12
Prob nog doing a thing to try and stop it. He's going to go with those small seniors up front no matter what I guess

halftime 35-0

I thought it was kind of classless to call two time outs to get the ball back before the half when up 35.
#16
41-0 9:04 left in 3rd

42-0

Holman is the real deal.

Totally embarrassing. Where has Russell football gone. They are so no competitive against any decent team outside their weak district. How many years is this now that they've been blown out in the second round. I have no confidence in this staff to have them play at any level higher than mediocre.

Well the way I hear it you will probably get your wish.

Do you disagree? Look at the results. Let's face it Ivan will never be able to coach the way he needs to, Smith a joke at running things, then there's the rest of the coast testers, most of them I wouldn't want coaching a per wee team. Morris is the only one outside of Ivan that I have any conference in. I know the score dosent show it, but I'm pretty sure his hands have been tied as to the personel he would have on the field. Smith been making that call, I know for a fact.

Russel has a good young class coming up!

Nothing classless about calling 2 timeouts before half. Trying to get a running clock to speed game up and prevent injury for rest of season. I guess if a team gets up 28-0 they should just kneel it.

As stated before, I have no conference in this staff to coach the young talent. They have no ability to get the best out of these kids. The one good thing about this lose is hopefully its this staffs last game

Sure comes across as rubbing it in when the other team was just going to take it to the half. You don't decrease the risk of injury by calling timeouts to run more plays. Personally I'm glad they didn't get it.

I guess if they were truly classless they would have kept the starters in for the duration. Next week I guess they will change the name on the scoreboard to the classless colonels!!!!
#29
Well that's up to them.

But if you want to shorten the game and reduce the chance of injury you run the ball and run the clock.

I think Bourbon gets to a rematch with Belfry in the semis but next week with Mason will not be easy.

Good luck to Bourbon Co. They have a legitimate shot at a 3A state title.

Keeping Ivan as the head coach is good. He still has a lot of input. Morris running the defense and Evans the offense. Mckenzie and Caniff are capable. Smith, Hurley and his staff need to go. The last two freshmen classes had a lot of talent and made them look good.
