Oh, I'll store it and use it if we ever play Highlands again!! I can put it in a black bear's mouth or something like that! When Highlands played in Harlan County a few years ago, we stuffed the cannon with blue feathers so they would shoot out every time we scored.

How about talking about the game and ending the childish name calling and ad hominem attacks? The other thread was stupid and I would rather not see this one degenerate to the same level. If you are going to make a point in an argument or debate, name calling and attacking the other person, their spelling, their momma, etc simply implies that the attacker is not the most intelligent, not the person being attacked.

I will admit, however, when I saw "inbread" used instead of "inbred" as an insult in another thread recently, I did spit the drink I had just taken onto the computer screen.

BTW...it is Highlands, not Highland. I know how bad you feel when you make that kind of an error. Actually, it used to be Highland High School, in the City of the Highlands. That was before they built the fort. There is your Fort Thomas history lesson for the day.

Uh, I believe the title of the thread that was shut down was JC/ CovCath, correct? (You still hangin* with me here?) Ohhhh, but didn't you and the rest of your twinkie friends have to come over and invade it and expose us to all that infinite wisdom again, and again, and again, and again. Do you happen to work for Best Buy, by any chance ? I cant help but think of the Geek Squad every time I read some of your analytical stat reports or get schooled by one of your history lessons..

But after cordial PM exchanges, I commonly find a knife stuck in my back in the very next post. I have washed my hands with that backstabbing "bird" by the way.

I worked in Houston during the early 1980's oil boom...The state of Texas was invaded by northern folk (they called them Yankees, BTW) that were casualties of the very poor ecomomy in the industrial belt during that time .....A popular bumper sticker in the area at that time went something like this, "We don't care how you did it up there". Do you follow my drift here, and does any of that ring a bell? It sure rings a familiar worn out ring to everyone else out side of that wonderous Golden Triangle, I can tell you that...

Folks better start factoring the weather Friday night into their predictions. Highlands has an exceptional passing game but rain and wind are not friends to the passing game. Couple that with a much healthier CovCath team than the first go round and I see a close game looming Friday night.

Our running game is highly overlooked and will carry us well. We have some solid runners, but utilizing the passing game has always been a trademark of Coach Mueller. Looking at recent years though, he runs it a lot more as he gets deeper in the playoffs. I still think Johnson Central would have given us a better run, Matney knows this team very well and his style of ball has worked well against us at times in the past. Cov Cath has already played Highlands once and deep down wants nothing more to do with the Bluebirds. I expect a running clock no later than early in the fourth quarter.

I direct your attention to last year. We blew out CovCath in the regular season and really, really struggled against them in the playoffs.
