Belfry @ Bourbon County (State Semi Finals)11/29/13
As far as the fan situation. Do not be surprised if Belfry fans outnumber Bourbon fans. Belfry travels better than any other team out there. I remember many many times that belfry outnumbered the home fans in past playoff road games.

I believe there's 'seng in them hills!!!!
Yep, and a couple friends of mine were doing just that when one of them got bit on the finger by a copperhead...twice!
EKUAlum05 Wrote:I doubt you see that... as I just edited in my post Wellman's not a big leg punter..he is a precision punter who relies on placing his kick and putting the right spin so a 30 yard punt becomes an un-returnable 45 yard punt that rolled 15 yards

Belfry's M.O. on kickoffs though is to directional kick and make you return

Yep, I can vouch for this statement!
bocofan05 Wrote:I asked this question to some bourbon fans last week, how many teams would willingly kick to bourbon? The overwhelming answer was not very many, if belfry punts and booms one down the field to #2, hold your breath, like wise in a kick off. That crushed mason last week.
Kick to Bourbon... Deion Sanders isn't back there

No matter how good Belfry's Kicker and punter are.... The key here is the
other 10 players... Belfry will have to hold there lines moving down field and
collapse quickly or Boco will hurt you on special team returns...
HSFOOTBALL Wrote:By the way I would invite you down, but we all know what happened to LC the last time they came down on Black Friday, and I'm sure you don't want those memories coming back!

Lol I remember that I was actually at that game. And like I said A Crap Hole I meant it. And seems like even your school colors got a crap color about them Confusednicker: But back to the game Bourbon Co. actually thanked LC after that game for beating Breathitt Co. because there is no way they could have.
HSFOOTBALL Wrote:The pictures were posted by a 16 year old girl.

She may be immature, but she's 16, thats expected right?

What's your excuse? Don't worry I'll wait ....

Oh here we go the 16 year old bit. I call someone out and they are underage and I shouldn't talk to the underage like that. Come off it would you???? You see to be the Man You Got To Beat The Man, Whoooo!!!!!!! You don't want any and I will just make not only You look Sillier but Bourbon Co. as well. But if by some chance the kid is 16 and even a girl. Then Oh Well you might want to teach them to respect their Elders. And if you won't I will!!!!!!!
Hard to respect elders when they're calling people "RE RE's"
NoworLater Wrote:Hard to respect elders when they're calling people "RE RE's"

Did I hurt them feelings????????????? :Sad04: First the underage act and now the innocent act "You shouldn't call Us Names". So I will take a wild guess Bourbon Co. can dish it but can't take it????? I would say don't start no crap and there won't be any but looks like You already got plenty of it there in Bourbon Co. :biglmao: Confusednicker: :eyeroll:
No, because I have a nephew with down syndrome...find it very distasteful.
If your having a bit of distastefulness You might want to get the Horse Crap out from between your tooth's. First know what I am saying and then you can speak.

Tooth's? You mean teeth? And what do you mean by Re Re, please explain.

Yes, please explain...
footballfan24 Wrote:I'm not sure which game you watched, but the starting fast kids in Maroon have no problem taking a hit.

Seriously be honest with yourself...who have you played that can hit...Belfry lays the wood...oh wait you guys found that out last year....
Thrillex Wrote:Tooth's? You mean teeth? And what do you mean by Re Re, please explain.

There is no guessing...we will see...
So everything that happened last year Bourbon has forgotten? They forgot Belfry plays till the whistle, that they hit hard, that they can and will run over you? I doubt Bourbon has made adjustments to that, or realize that this is the same offensive group that ran all over them last year. Bourbon only has the district coach of the year, not the National. Hopefully, during the 14 bye weeks Bourbon had during the season that the coaches worked with them on some of those things.

Better hope its now and not later. Confusednicker:

Sorry, couldn't help myself NoworLater.
^ hope so or it will be a long night.

I know you have to play the schedule you have, and Bourbon has done nothing but run through the competition they have faced. Bourbon looks really good on paper, but they also did last year. I thought last years game would be a barn burner, but was disappointed. I do think this years Bourbon team is a tad bit better than last years. They seem to have more balance and playmakers. I also think this years score will be a lot different than last years.

Belfry without a doubt has played the tougher schedule IMO. Belfry has also started 4-5 freshman throughout the year. They (the freshman) have had 13 games to grow mentally on the field. Belfry has faced a lot of adversity throughout the year in the competition they have faced along with several injuries with key players at key positions. They have dug themselves deep holes early in some games and managed to pick themselves up and dig their way out (with the exception of JC).

Bottom line both teams have handled the competition put in front of them to advance this far into the playoffs. Both deserve to be here. I simply think Belfry has proven more to this point than Bourbon. I think Bourbon will give them a better game this year than last, but the National Coach of the Year is on one sideline and District Coach of the Year on the other. That my friends will be the difference in this game. Haywood and staff will make the necessary adjustments to prevail in this one.

Belfry 34
Bourbon 28

Good luck Pond Creek Nation and safe travels. I would follow you this week, but will not get off work till 7. I will be listening and pulling for you on the radio.
