they are spoiled in the sence that they do not understand what it feels like to not win state.... i love the bluebirds.... i know they work hard enough to deserve it.....i never want them to lose....its just, they really cant appreciate it... its not real.

I understand what you are saying and what you are saying is logical, but I'm not sure it's necessary accurate. With family members on the team since the streak began in 07, I've never sensed that they don't appreciate the championships. If anything, because of the pressure to not be the senior class that ended the streak, the kids these days may appreciate the state titles even more than I did back in 75.

Hey sstack, seriously what lean year are we talking about? Would like to see what year LexCath or Boyle Co has a chance.

Next year they will be really good on offense with a returning QB that I believe will be better than this year and very good returning WR's and RB's. Not sure about the D for next year. I do feel like 2015 and 2016 might be the years for other teams to make their move.

This is going to sound really weird, really weird coming from a big time bluebird fan.... There is a part of me that kindof hopes that this winning state every year gets broken up at some point. The kids are so spoiled. It is a little easier to win state now with 6 classes and they never get a taste of not winning state to appreciate how awesome it is. My class lost to CovCath in the mud bowl junior year so winning state as seniors was really sweet. God needs the devil, the beatles needed the rolling stones. I dont know, i always want them to win, its just weird that these kids dont know what not winning state is like. Some one soon is going to shock them... has to happen right?

I live and breath football at all levels and appreciate good football no matter who's playing and admire Highlands program but i've had many more negitive encounters with thier fanbase than positive over the years.maybe you're one of the good guys oldbird has always been my favorite though its been awhile since i've saw him on any of the forums.anyway been nice exchaning opinions with ya.good luck

Agree Oldbird is a good guy, as is sstack. Be careful about judging an entire fan base by the fringe who go a little crazy on message boards. Highlands lie most schools have great fans along with some goofs.

I have heard talk about the bad blood between this two teams in last years game, but I can not recall what happened. I do recall Lex Cath coach spending almost the entire game on the field and was shocked the refs let it carry on the whole game. Can anybody remind me of what happened in that game last year?

I think it is just a bunch of back ground noise, i think some of it is the lex CATH broadcasters. I know it was not wacky, he was not allowed out on pass that night.

Thanks sstack. Being a Lex Cath follower and sometimes Lexington Lafayette. And being around the church community and following Lex Cath, I feel that they are going to have another big year next season as well. QB will return along with a soph RB who was out this season, but had an excellent frosh year. With the exception of 1 OL, all are returners and 1 huge linemen that was out this season with injury. Receivers will have # 17 back along with bunch of JV players. Defense will be excellent as well, losing only #11 ILB and a cornerback. Will they compete? YES. Will they be able to take down the mighty FT Highlands empire? Most like not, but better chance than most programs out there. Good luck Friday night brother, hope the participants have a time of their life, cause in the end we all know it's about the players:1:

Ft.Thomas has done enough to be the favorite in this game. They are talented and well coached in all 3 phases. As an LC fan I can only hope for a few breaks and for our kids to bring their A game. I have no doubt that LC can score on Highlands, but it's going to be the Knights defense that has to play great. They have to gang tackle, force punts, and try to create turnovers. Good luck to both teams & Happy Thanksgiving to all.....
